Okay, we’re definitely going to need a few new shows to watch. Young Sheldon just ended, The Good Doctor is set to conclude, and both The Rookie and Will Trent are about to air their season finales. Thankfully, a slew of popular series are about to return with new episodes.

The fourth season of The Boys premieres June 13, 2024 on Prime Video, Season 3 of The Bear drops June 27 on Hulu, new episodes of Criminal Minds debut June 6 on Paramount+, and the final season of Cobra Kai is just around the corner (July 18 on Netflix, to be exact). Plus, new episodes of HBO’s sensational comedy Hacks premiere Thursdays on Max.

When one streaming door closes, five open. You know what I mean?

The sixth season of The Rookie concludes tonight, but what about Season 7? When exactly does The Rookie return with new episodes? Here’s everything you need to know.

Can I Watch The Rookie Season 6 Finale On Hulu?

You bet. The season finale will be available for next-day streaming on Hulu and ABC.com beginning Tuesday, May 22.

Will There Be A Season 7 Of The Rookie?

Yes! In April 2024, ABC renewed The Rookie for a seventh season.

When Does The Rookie Return With New Episodes?

As we mentioned above, The Rookie was recently renewed for a seventh season, but, unfortunately, the series isn’t on ABC’s fall schedule. The network is holding both Will Trent and The Rookie for midseason debuts, allowing the shows to have mostly uninterrupted runs.

“Both of those shows are firing on all cylinders, both in terms of ratings and the performance we see on Hulu,” Disney Television Group president Craig Erwich told The Hollywood Reporter in a recent interview. “We’ll launch them in January, when we have huge promotional platforms in New Year’s Rockin Eve, as well as college football and a huge slate of Christmas programming. To have those shows go uninterrupted just felt like the best way to keep growing them, which is our goal.”

Will Trent and The Rookie should return in January 2025, with both shows likely to air 18 episode seasons.
