‘The Kardashians’ Fans Shocked By Gypsy Rose Blanchard Cameo: “So F***ing Funny To Me”

Just when we thought Kourtney Kardashian‘s pregnancy was going to be the biggest storyline on The Kardashians Season 5, Kim Kardashian went and invited Gypsy Rose Blanchard to make a cameo.

A preview for the Hulu show’s new season, which dropped its first episode today, concludes with a short clip of Kim meeting up with Blanchard, who was released from prison in December 2023 after serving seven years for her mother’s murder.

In 2015, Blanchard infamously asked her then-boyfriend Nick Godejohn to kill her mom in an effort to escape years of abuse. It was later determined that Blanchard’s mother suffered from Munchausen syndrome by proxy and tricked the world into thinking her daughter was chronically ill, forcing Blanchard to undergo countless painful and unnecessary medical procedures.

Blanchard received a 10-year prison sentence in 2016, but was released early in December 2023. The convicted murderer has since landed her own Lifetime series and has become somewhat of a social media icon, getting plastic surgeries and leaving her husband for her ex-boyfriend in the process.

She even expressed interest in teaming up with Kim back in January. “It would be cool. She has that huge platform for prison reform, and I have been in prison! So having those two elements I think we could do some good in the world!” she told Extra.

It looks like Blanchard’s dreams manifested and she will appear at some point in The Kardashians Season 5, though fans of the show were left both shocked and confused by teaser.

“Why is Gypsy Rose on the new Kardashians episode.. omg I almost choked on my sun chips lol,” one wrote on X, while another added, “BITCH IS THAT GYPSY ROSE? THE KARDASHIANS ARE ICONS I CANT.”

A third person said, “Gypsy Rose being on the new season of The Kardashians was not on my 2024 bingo card whatsoever.”

Someone else asked, “Why did I just see Gypsy Rose on The Kardashians?” while a fifth person added, “Gypsy Rose being on The Kardashians is so fucking funny to me.”

Another shaded, “Gypsy Rose gonna be on the Kardashians ohhh they desperate for ratings.”
