The Bear Season 2 showed Carmy (Jeremy Allen White) and the gang’s journey to turning the family’s Chicago beef restaurant into a modern food destination, complete with a heroic arc for each beloved character and many make-or-break moments that left even the viewer feeling hopeless. But the new trailer for Season 3 proves that we ain’t seen nothing yet.

Hulu dropped the full trailer for The Bear Season 3 this week, serving up two full minutes of anxiety-inducing drama that only the staff of The Bear could bring.

Now on the outs with his ex-girlfriend/situationship Claire, Carmy Berzatto’s full attention is on The Bear, where he presents his staff with a controversial list of “non-negotiables.”

“That’s how restaurants at the highest level operate,” he explains in the trailer.

The list, which seems more like a nebulous array of motivational phrases like “details matter” and “pursuit of excellence” than a code of conduct, is met with immediate “contempt,” as Ayo Edebiri‘s Sydney says.

“These are the scribblings of a mad man,” Richie (Ebon Moss-Bachrach) comments at one point, while Carmy declares, “[If] it’s not perfect, it doesn’t go out.”

It looks like Carmy’s striving for a Michelin star despite his initial hesitance. This may have been Sydney’s dream at one point, but the young chef may soon realize what Carmy’s known all along: It comes at a cost.

The Season 3 trailer also appears to show Sydney and Carmy’s working relationship leveling up, but that isn’t necessarily a good thing. The pair are finally signing a partnership agreement after starting their business arrangement on what is essentially a verbal contract in Season 2.

In the trailer, Carmy explains that the agreement is “so that you can push me and I can push you.” Despite the foreboding statement, a formal contract is certainly a step up from where they began their business arrangement. But the moment also hints at the gentle relationship they’ve been cultivating since Season 1.

The Bear fans have been patiently waiting for Syd and Carmy’s undeniable chemistry to turn into something more. Could this be the start of their romantic relationship?

On the brighter side, it appears that Richie’s 180-transformation from Season 2 has stuck. There’s something refreshingly funny about hearing the once-unmanageable cousin defend his choice in plates (“hand-made earthenware”) for The Bear during a heated argument with Carmy.

The trailer’s release means it’s only a matter of time before the new Bear episodes land on Hulu.

The Bear Season 3 premieres June 27.
