After a cruise ship catastrophe, a heartwarming coming out story, a hospital wedding, a desert cartel attack, an unexpected ode to Vertigo, and a house fire that caused the 118’s beloved captain to collapse from cardiac arrest, it’s finally time for the 9-1-1 Season 7 finale.

When we last left Bobby Nash (Peter Krause) in Season 7, Episode 9, “Ashes, Ashes,” he had successfully rescued Athena (Angela Bassett) from their burning home only to fall to the ground in distress. As paramedics raced to resuscitate him 9-1-1 fans anxiously wondered if Bobby would die in the finale. Now, a week later, we’re about to find out.

The official ABC synopsis for 9-1-1 Season 7, Episode 10, “All Fall Down” is as follows: “Following the devastating fire at the Nash home, Bobby’s fate remains uncertain, while Athena embarks on a mission to uncover the truth. Meanwhile, Hen and Karen engage in a heated custody battle, while Christopher grapples with forgiving Eddie.”

So do Hen and Karen really lose Mara? Do Eddie and Christopher make amends? Did Amir start the fire at Bobby and Athena’s house? Does Bobby die in the Season 7 finale? And is Peter Krause leaving the hit ABC procedural? You’ll have to tune in to find out.

How Many Episodes Are In 9-1-1 Season 7?

As you may have guessed from all the season finale talk, 9-1-1 Season 7 is 10 episodes. Fans may recall Season 5 and Season 6 were larger 18-episode seasons, but as a result of 2023 WGA and SAG-AFRTA strike delays and schedule changes, 9-1-1‘s seventh season was cut, as were other network shows that returned in 2024. Will There Be A 9-1-1 Season 8 On ABC?

Good news, 118 fans. Ahead of 9-1-1‘s historic 100th episode, ABC renewed the series for Season 8, which means the show will return with more new episodes (and ideally a bigger season order) shortly. The series is currently in hiatus after wrapping Season 7 and there’s no set Season 8 premiere date yet, but per ABC, 9-1-1 will return in the network’s Fall 2024 lineup in its current hour-long Thursday 8:00 p.m. ET slot. When 9-1-1 returns for Season 8, new episodes will air ahead of Doctor Odyssey and Grey’s Anatomy.
