Nicole Brown Simpson once speculated that her ex-husband O.J. Simpson was going to “kill” her one day and “get away with it,” according to her sisters.

Denise Brown, Tanya Brown and Dominique Brown appeared on this morning’s episode of The View, where they bravely opened up about their sister’s 1994 murder.

Nicole and O.J. first met when she was 18 years old and tied the knot in 1985. However, their relationship was allegedly riddled with abuse — abuse that Nicole’s sisters said she constantly “minimized.”

“Every morning we would have our morning phone call before she would go for a run,” Dominique recalled. “She said, ‘Minnie, he was at it again. O.J. went crazy last night and he punched my door and he broke down my door … Ha ha ha. I’m gonna go for a run.'”

It wasn’t until 1989 that Nicole called Denise and asked her to take photos of her “bruised arm and scratched-up face” that they knew how bad the alleged abuse had gotten.

While Nicole and O.J. divorced in 1992, he allegedly continued to stalk her and threaten her, prompting her to warn her sisters, “He’s gonna kill me one day and he’s gonna get away with it,” as they said on The View.

When their mother got the phone call that Nicole had been found dead, Denise said she immediately knew who committed the crime.

“I said, ‘Oh my God. He did it. He finally did it.’ [The detective] said to me, he goes, ‘Who?’ I said, ‘O.J. Simpson,'” she recalled. “All of a sudden, in my gut, in my heart, I knew that this person killed my sister. I knew it.”

Denise continued, “I just always look back and I think Nicole — God rest her soul, God love her — but she thought everything was gonna change when they got married because he got baptized. And nothing changed.”

O.J. was ultimately tried for the murder of Nicole and her friend Ron Goldman, though he was acquitted of all charges in 1995. He died in April 2024 of prostate cancer.

The View airs on weekdays at 11/10c on ABC.
