We finally got another look at Severance Season 2, and it’s not looking so good for Lumon employee Mark Scout.

Apple TV+ shared a new still image and some never-before-seen footage of the new season as part of a special “Coming to Apple TV+” promotional reel meant to tease the streamer’s slate of new television.

“Your innie has already seen this image,” Apple TV+ teased in a post on X. The image was of Severance star Adam Scott as his character’s “innie,” or the version of himself that takes over when working his day job at Lumon. Scout is seen carrying a bouquet of balloons, some of which seem to have his face on them, through the stark-white hallways of Lumon.

The mysterious promo doesn’t reveal much about the show, but luckily, the new footage gives a closer look at what to expect for Scout and his fellow Lumon colleagues.

The “Coming to Apple TV+” reel appeared to show Scout returning to Lumon, where Milchick greets him with the balloons and a big, chilling smile, as he says, “Welcome back. It’s been a minute.”

It later flashes in between multiple close-up shots of Scout, alternating between him in the suit he typically wears to work, and another scene where he appears to be hooked up to a series of sensors.

The alternating shots continue until Scout suddenly wakes up in a conference room, as he again switches in between his Lumon suit and a more casual red sweater and pants, seemingly hinting that his “outtie” may have found a way inside Lumon.

Severance stars Scott, Britt Lower, Zach Cherry, and John Turturro as a group of employees who work at a biotech company who undergo a unique procedure that severs their lives inside of work from their lives outside, meaning they have no recollection of who they are when they’re on the clock. Season 1 ended just as the employees managed to make some major breakthroughs in their investigation into Lumon.

Executive producer Ben Stiller shared the reel and still image on X, teasing that it’ll be coming “soon.” He also tagged singer SZA to let her know that he’s “working on it” after she hilariously declared on social media that she “really” needs “a new season of severance right the fuck now.”

Production has officially wrapped, which means it’s only a matter of time before the highly anticipated show finally comes back.

A release date for Severance Season 2 has not yet been announced.
