Fans have been taking to X today to gush over the brand new first trailer for upcoming Thai film Uranus 2324. The sci-fi romantic drama follows a love story that is even larger than the universe and deeper than the ocean between astronaut Lin (Freen Sarocha Chankimha) and deep sea diver Kath (Rebecca Patricia “Becky” Armstrong).
Lin dreams of exploring outer space and aspires to one day reach Uranus, from which she promises to send a signal to Kath’s to show she’s made it. But when Lin loses contact with Mission Control Houston while on a space expedition, Kath’s entire world is turned upside down.
“Do you believe in parallel worlds? A world where there’s another version of us with different choices between life and death?” Kath asks in the trailer, as we see scenes of her and Lin’s epic sapphic love story that seems to transcend both space and time.
Users of X are already tweeting in droves as they look forward to the film, which premieres in Thailand on July 4th of this year:
