This morning looks a little different for fans of The Drew Barrymore Show, who were likely bummed to see that CBS was not airing a new episode. Luckily, we have you covered on everything you need to know about when The Drew Barrymore Show will return!

It’s been an exciting handful of months for co-hosts Drew Barrymore and Ross Mathews. Despite catching heat for trying to start Season 4 before the end of the writer’s strike, Barrymore went above and beyond in her path to redemption, bringing on stars like Oprah Winfrey, Janet Jackson and Sydney Sweeney, to name a few.

The high-energy and entertaining season concluded with some of Barrymore’s usual hijinks, like when she reenacted her colonoscopy for Mathews and when she awkwardly discussed the act of measuring hot dogs.

So, why isn’t The Drew Barrymore Show on today? And was the hit talk show renewed for a fifth season?

Keep reading for more information.

Why isn’t The Drew Barrymore Show on today?

Unfortunately, the time has come for The Drew Barrymore Show to wrap up its fourth season — meaning no new episodes will air until the next season begins. On the bright side, CBS will still be playing re-runs during the show’s regular time slot. Check out the website for your local airtimes.

Will there be a Drew Barrymore Show Season 5?

We have good news! The Drew Barrymore Show was officially renewed for Season 5 back in January.

The Drew Barrymore Show is firing on all cylinders this season,” Wendy McMahon, president and CEO of CBS News and Stations and CBS Media Ventures, said in a statement to The Hollywood Reporter. “Drew continues to catapult the show into the cultural zeitgeist with her empathetic and thoughtful interviews transporting viewers into her living room, where they feel like they are listening to a conversation between two friends that they are a part of.”

She added, “It’s an experience unlike any other in television. Drew is truly creating magic in daytime, and we’re thrilled to continue to bring that to our stations.”
