Josh Gad knows all too well how “great” it is to be a girl dad. On this morning’s episode of The Drew Barrymore Show, he revealed that his two daughters turned him into a certified Swiftie.

The Broadway actor and voice of Frozen‘s Olaf bonded with Drew Barrymore, whose daughters are around the same age as his. According to Gad, his kids are “much smarter” than him, which he joked is “really upsetting.” However, one thing he wasn’t upset to learn from them was how to appreciate pop sensation and musical genius Taylor Swift.

“They’ve also been introducing me to music in a way that, like — they made me a Swiftie, guys,” he admitted to the audience. “I didn’t understand. And they were like, ‘Daddy, sit down. We’re gonna play you all of Taylor’s versions. We’re gonna show you what it means to understand the greatest musical composer since Mozart.'”

Gad continued, “And I was like, ‘OK. I thought that was The Beatles. But OK.’ And guys, she’s the real deal. Let me tell you something. She’s the real deal.”

Heck yeah, Swift is the real deal. Having been in the industry since she was 16 years old, she has been praised for her clever marketing ploys, relatable music, indescribable work ethic, and, most recently, her highly sought-after Eras Tour, which has officially made her a billionaire.

Young fans like Gad’s daughters are also getting to experience her early albums for the first time. After Swift’s masters were sold in 2020, the singer decided to re-record each of the six albums she created for her former label. Last month, she released “1989 (Taylor’s Version),” which was the fourth re-mastered album to hit the stands, as well as her concert film, Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour.

Somehow, the “Love Story” songstress has even found time for love amid her hectic work schedule. Not only has she been making headlines for her music and tour, but she has also spent the last couple of months striking up a romance with Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce, which has prompted a whole new demographic to tune into NFL games.

Swift is truly living out her wildest dreams — and now, Gad can join the army of Swifties in watching her do it!
