Where Is Jenna Bush Hager? Hoda Kotb’s Co-Host Mysteriously Missing From ‘Today’

Today Show anchor Sheinelle Jones joined Hoda Kotb during Monday’s (June 24) broadcast of Today With Hoda & Jenna, leaving many fans to wonder where Kotb’s partner in crime could be.

Jenna Bush Hager may have been mysteriously absent from the broadcast, but Kotb and Jones got along just fine. Kotb even made a major confession to Jones: She recently went skinny dipping with her best friend and her kids.

“We skinny dipped! It was so fun! My kids were screaming, they were literally shrieking with delight,” she told Jones, who appeared to be in complete shock. Kotb continued, “One of my dear friends, her husband who was barbecuing was like this, he literally had a paper plate he was holding up [to cover his face].”

Jones, who admitted she’s never gone skinny dipping, replied while laughing, “What kind of family friends [are these]? I’m just saying, the husband’s on the grill, and y’all are just frolicking in the water?”

The rest of the broadcast continued without a hitch; Kotb and Jones were later joined by Jennifer Garner and her mother, as well as Andy Cohen, who proceeded to make fun of Kotb’s outfit.

While it’s always fun to see new faces on Today With Hoda & Jenna, many viewers may be wondering: Where is Jenna?

Why isn’t Jenna Bush Hager on Today?

The Today host recently announced on the show that she will be speaking at the Aspen Ideas Festival with author Chris Whittaker, whose bestselling novel All the Colors of the Dark is her book club’s pick of the month.

This comes after it was recently announced that Bush Hager’s media company Thousand Voices will be teaming up with UCP and Dinner Party Productions to develop a series adaptation of the bestselling novel.

According to the festival’s program, she will also be speaking on a panel Monday about modern day parenting alongside Girls Who Code CEO Reshma Saujani and developmental psychologist Aliza Pressman.

For now, it looks like she will be back on Today at some point this week.
