Michael Strahan’s continued absence from Good Morning America has entered its second week, raising questions from fans as to when the host may be returning to the broadcast.

Robin Roberts and George Stephanopolous have been holding down the fort amidst Strahan’s mysterious absence, despite a recent broadcast where all three hosts were shockingly missing from the air. This week, they were instead joined by ABC News correspondent Gio Benitez and economics correspondent Rebecca Jarvis to discuss Hurricane Beryl and other headlines of the day.

Strahan also missed Dr. Jen Ashton‘s last day on the broadcast on June 27. Good Morning America honored her with a tribute video featuring some of her ABC colleagues, her family, and even a surprise appearance from Chris Hemsworth.

Fortunately, Strahan did make an appearance in the video to tease that Ashton always “brings in medical fun” to the morning news show.

As Strahan’s mysterious absence continues into a second week, fans may be wondering where the GMA host is and when should he be expected back on the show. Here’s what we know so far.

A source familiar with the matter confirmed to DECIDER that Strahan is away on vacation.

There has been some speculation that the former NFL star was taking time away from the show to be with his family amidst his 19-year-old daughter’s ongoing battle with cancer, but it appears that Strahan is simply enjoying some much-needed R&R.

When is Michael Strahan coming back to GMA?

We have some good news for GMA fans: A source confirmed Strahan will be back on Good Morning America the week of July 7.

That means the whole GMA gang will be back together sooner than we think. It’s been some time, as Roberts was also missing from the broadcast for some time last week.

Good Morning America airs weekdays at 7/6c on ABC.
