Sunny Hostin is continuing to share intel from Donald Trump‘s hush money trial with her colleagues at The View, and the legal analyst has an interesting theory about the former POTUS’ behavior in the courtroom.
Hostin, who attended Trump’s trial, told The View that she had to use binoculars to get a good look at the scene because the courtroom is so big — and what she saw got her thinking.
When she started off her trial recap this morning, Hostin began, “What I want to do is give a little color to the courtroom—” but Whoopi Goldberg stopped her to say, “Oh, that’s, re-do that.”
But Hostin gave her a knowing look and stuck with it, replying, “No, no, a little color. I mean that literally and figuratively. A lot of of people are reporting what was said in the courtroom, but no one has really reported what you see when you’re actually there.”

Sharing that she’s been using her binoculars to get a closer look at “orange” Trump, Hostin said, “while other reporters are zooming in on the documents, I’m zooming in on him.”
As Sara Haines joked, “Is this your serious legal analysis?” Hostin insisted, “It really is. People have been reporting that he is asleep. He is not asleep. He is enraged.”
She then speculated, “That’s why I think he’s so orange, because I think it’s red underneath.”
Hostin then treated us to a little reenactment of what she saw at the Trump trial.
“I saw him during Michael Cohen’s testimony sort of going like this,” she said, imitating Trump nodding off.
“I said, ‘Oh, here he’s sleeping,’ then he went—” she said as she pretended to be Trump scrunching up his face and jerking his head in irritation.
“That is what’s happening,” said, while Joy Behar quipped,”My dog does that when he’s sleeping!”
Hostin replied, “When he’s sleeping? He’s not sleeping.” You heard it here first!
