Hot Dog! You Actually CAN Watch Joey Chestnut Compete In A Hot Dog Eating Competition Today

Who’s hungry?

The delicious beef between Joey Chestnut and Nathan’s Famous continues to cook as the World’s No. 1 Eater will compete in a different hot dog eating contest on the Fourth of July.

The 16-time champion will take on four soldiers in a five-minute hot dog-eating competition at the “Pop Goes the Fort” celebration at Fort Bliss, Texas. Dubbed the “Meat and Greet,” the event will raise money for military families, and Chestnut’s new sponsor, Impossible Foods, will reportedly be on hand to help feed the hungry crowd.

“This 4th will be a little different, but I’ll still be eating a whole lot of all-beef hot dogs,” Chestnut wrote on Twitter. “I’m stoked to be going to Ft. Bliss, where I’ll be eating against four of their finest soldiers.”

Last month, Chestnut, the defending Nathan’s Famous Hot Dog Eating Contest champion, was banned from this year’s event due to his sponsorship deal with plant-based hot dog company Impossible Foods. The famed competitive eater, seemingly hungry for retribution, later announced that he’d battle Kobayashi in a Labor Day hot dog eating contest on Netflix.

Honestly, it’s been a pretty big month for hot dogs.

Today’s Fort Bliss binge fest will be a four-on-one matchup, with the total number of dogs downed by the soldiers going against Chestnut’s score. Here’s how to watch all the action live online.
