When The View kicked off this morning, there were noticeably fewer faces on screen. While Whoopi Goldberg, Sara Haines, Sunny Hostin and Alyssa Farah Griffin were all seated around the Hot Topics table, one co-host was nowhere to be seen: Joy Behar.

Behar’s absence isn’t exactly unheard of at The View — after all, she takes off Mondays while Goldberg takes off Fridays, leaving everyone’s favorite funny co-host as fill-in moderator for each end-of-the-week show.

But, today being a Thursday and not a Monday, we suspected Behar’s absence was unplanned, especially considering Ana Navarro wasn’t filling in the empty seat like she typically does when another co-host is out.

(Editor’s Note: The View is on hiatus today; contrary to what you may have heard, The View was not canceled today. This article was originally published on May 22, 2024 when this episode first aired. The View will return with new episodes next week.)

Could Behar be on an impromptu vacation? Off prepping for another exciting theater project?

If you’re like us and were wondering where Joy Behar was on this morning’s episode of The View, you came to the right place. Keep on reading, because we have answers.

Where is Joy Behar today?

Behar was unfortunately out sick for this morning’s episode of The View. As Goldberg explained to the enthusiastic studio audience at the top of today’s show, “Joy is out sick today, but we’ll let her know you love her too.”

She then delivered a message for her co-host, saying, “Feel better, Joy, and get your behind back here!”

When will Joy Behar be back on The View?

Goldberg did not specify when Behar will return to the show, but we’ve got our fingers crossed for a speedy recovery for the co-host!
