The View got heated this morning as Joy Behar joined in on the table’s analysis of President Joe Biden‘s chances at the polls in November. Behar, who is off on Mondays and missed yesterday’s discussion — including Whoopi Goldberg‘s colorful commentary — clashed with Alyssa Farah Griffin just minutes in to Monday’s show, proving the 2024 election will be a fiery one for the Hot Topics table.

Behar began by reminding the panel, “I wasn’t here yesterday,” but said she had been “watching television all week” and didn’t like what she saw.

“I’m a little tired of all the Biden bashing that’s going on,” she said. “I’m pissed off at it, frankly. There’s a lot of Biden bashing going on and no calls for the sexually abusive felon to step down.”

Before she could continue, Griffin interjected, “That’s actually not true, though,” but Behar retorted, “Oh, come on. I don’t see anyone in the right wing telling [Donald] Trump, ‘Oh, you have to step down. ‘”

Griffin (a former Trump White House employee) replied that she’d been doing just that for four years, noting that she had “testified against [Trump],” and adding, “That fact that public decided not to agree with it I can’t help, but there are so many people who’ve said he’s unfit.”

Behar wasn’t convinced and grilled Griffin, asking, “What Republican is asking that he step down? Tell me.”

Griffin replied, “There’s a bunch of different franchise Republicans,” but didn’t list anyone off as Behar continued her passionate defense of the POTUS.

Launching into an analysis of Biden’s debate performance against Trump, Behar blamed his shaky delivery on his insistence to tell “the truth.”

“When you’re telling the truth — like Biden was trying so hard to tell the truth — it doesn’t come as easily,” Behar said. “It’s so easy to just rehearse and practice your lies and then spew them in a debate the way [Trump] did. That was what was goin on there. I’m sticking with Biden at the moment because I feel that he’s our best choice.”

Of course, this being Behar, she couldn’t resist closing out her remarks with a joke. She quipped, “Who wants to vote for Trump? Even his wife can’t stand him at this point.”
