Despite popular belief, not everyone jumps at the chance to appear on an episode of Watch What Happens Live. While the hit late-night talk show has welcomed numerous Today Show hosts over the years, Andy Cohen revealed which one “refuses” to pay a visit to the Bravo Clubhouse.

The Bravo staple sat down with Today anchors Savannah Guthrie and Hoda Kotb for Tuesday night’s (July 9) episode of WWHL, where he called out their fellow co-host Carson Daly for being too “scared” to appear on his show.

“Over the last 15 years, we have welcomed many members of the Today Show family. But there’s one person who actually refuses to be on the show. Well, he’s here at the bar for the first time — sort of. Give it up for cardboard Carson Daly,” Cohen said as he gestured to a cardboard cut-out of Daly.

“There he is! I knew we would get him on the show,” Cohen quipped.

Before the trio got into their conversation, Cohen shocked Guthrie when he doubled down on his claim that Daly “won’t do the show.” Meanwhile, Kotb, who was already familiar with the situation, added that Daly “gave a hard no” when Cohen asked him to be a guest.

“We’ve asked so many times. I’ve talked to him about it. He’s just like — he’s scared,” Cohen explained. “He thinks I’m gonna dredge up all the mess. But I don’t think there’s any mess to dredge.”

Guthrie then asked, “What mess?” to which Cohen replied, “I don’t know. I love him.”

Kotb and Guthrie aren’t the only Today stars to appear on WWHL in recent weeks. Just last month, Craig Melvin sat down with Cohen to dish on all things Al Roker.

Not only does Roker allegedly take the longest to get ready, but he also “goes off the cuff the most” while on the air, “flubs” his reads the most, and is the “most fun” co-host to travel with, according to Melvin.

“When you walk through the airport with Al Roker it’s like you’re walking through the airport with Jesus Christ,” he joked. “The seas part.”

Watch What Happens Live airs Sunday through Thursdays at 10 p.m. ET on Bravo. New episodes are available to stream the next day on Peacock.
