Andy Cohen is getting candid about his bathroom blunders. The beloved talk show host revealed on this morning’s episode of his Sirius XM radio show Andy Cohen Live that he once had a bowel-related emergency right before taping an interview on Watch What Happens Live.

According to Cohen — who had just wrapped up a story about recently wetting his pants as he frantically searched for a bathroom in NYC —  the awkward mishap happened when he was supposed to film a milestone WWHL episode with Gloria Estefan and CeeLo Green.

“We were serving, at craft services, breakfast for dinner,” he explained. “And you know breakfast always makes you poop. No matter what time of day you eat it. It was pancakes and waffles and eggs and everything else. “

The Daddy Diaries author recalled “chowing down” on the breakfast food right before they were about to tape the episode.

“We were gonna do the conga after, at the end of the show,” he said. “And I was like, ‘I have to poop so bad. Like, what do I do?'”

Cohen found himself in a predicament when he realized he would’ve had to share a bathroom with the WWHL staff and audience.

“It was just too much. If you go to a talk show, you don’t want to see Jimmy Fallon come out of the stall after having had breakfast for dinner,” he joked. “There needs to be a mystique about the host. You don’t want to think about the host pooping.”

He added, “I may have gone home and pooped and come back. I don’t remember what I did but something had to give.”

Cohen’s co-host John Hill noted that he “might’ve” simply found another bathroom on a different floor, which, apparently, was a standard trick the rest of the staff used when they found themselves in similar situations.

“Anyway, we all have poop foibles, I guess,” Cohen concluded.
