If you’re a fan of HBO’s Hard Knocks or Netflix’s Quarterback, we have the perfect streaming recommendation: Receiver.

Now available on Netflix, the eight-episode season follows five of the NFL’s best pass catchers — Davante Adams, Justin Jefferson, George Kittle, Deebo Samuel, and Amon-Ra St. Brown — on and off the field during the 2023 season. Much like the streamer’s previous NFL docuseries Quarterback, Reciever offers an interesting behind-the-scenes look at the 2023 season while also giving fans a fascinating glimpse at the personalities behind a few of the NFL’s brightest stars.

In the first episode, we learn that Amon-Ra St. Brown’s father was a two-time Mr. Universe. His dad’s work ethic impacted the Detroit Lions star wideout, whose intense training regiment includes catching an additional 202 footballs each day after practice on the JUGS Machine. What else did we learn from Receiver’s debut offering?

Two words: Party bus.

Move over, Travis Kelce. There’s a new party boy tight end in town. You may not recognize him out of uniform, but that’s San Francisco 49ers Pro Bowler George Kittle. George’s wife, Claire Kittle, goes to every 49ers game, home and away. Since the Kittle family rolls deep, they travel to each game in a party bus adorned with a shirtless George saying “Oh hey there!” in nothing but a pair of his signature Chubbies Lucha Libre shorts.

“We love a party bus moment,” Claire says on Reciever while partying with George’s mom on the way to San Fran’s Week 3 Thursday Night Football home game against the New York Giants. “It’s a very high-energy bunch.”

The anything-but-inconspicuous party bus must have been a good luck charm. The 49ers defeated the Giants 30-12, with Kittle catching seven passes for 90 yards. San Francisco made it all the way to the Super Bowl last year before losing a 25-22 heartbreaker to the Kansas City Chiefs.

Can the Kittles ride their party bus to another Super Bowl appearance for the 49ers? Time will tell.
