The growing concerns over Project 2025 have officially reached The View. On this morning’s episode of the long-running daytime talk show, the co-hosts shed light on what they called the far-right’s “blueprint for a fascist regime,” with Ana Navarro making a snarky comment about their plan to criminalize pornography.

Joy Behar described the 900-page ploy as a “far-right plan for destroying democracy that [Donald] Trump’s team wants to implement on day one,” noting that the former president’s “minions” like Peter Navarro, Ben Carson and Heritage Foundation President Kevin Roberts are behind its controversial policies.

The comedian explained that Project 2025 outlines Trump’s alleged plan to ban abortions, “starve school children” by eliminating breakfast and lunch for school kids, gut healthcare and kickstart a “mass deportation” of immigrants.

“One of the things that scared me was dismantling the Department of Education,” Sunny Hostin added, before Navarro fired back, “I’ll tell you one that should scare the hell out of Republicans: they’re criminalizing pornography.”

Navarro was, of course, referring to Trump’s alleged affair with adult film star Stormy Daniels. Other Republicans have also been connected to porn-related scandals, like when Texas Sen. Ted Cruz seemingly liked a pornographic video on Twitter — which he later blamed on someone else who had access to his account.

“Everything [about Project 2025] is very disturbing because it’s a very dark, dark vision of what America could look like and would look like under a Trump administration,” Hostin added. “It becomes a dictatorship. He becomes a king.”

Trump recently tried to distance himself from Project 2025, claiming he “knows nothing” about the plan and has “no idea who is behind it.”

However, Hostin noted that there were “nearly 240 people with ties to both Project 2025 and ties to Trump” and that “many of them worked in his administration.” The former reality star also spoke at a 2022 Heritage Foundation dinner, where he said the company was “[laying] the groundwork” and “[detailing] plans” for their “movement” if he gets re-elected as POTUS.

The View airs on weekdays at 11/10c on ABC.
