This year’s event will feature a slew of speeches and musical performances from stars across the country, but due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, the bulk of the 2020 DNC convention will take place virtually. Maybe Joe Biden’s staff can set up a balloon drop in his home office?

WHEN IS THE DNC NATIONAL CONVENTION?

The 2020 DNC begins tonight, Monday, August 17, and runs through Thursday, August 20. Caucus and council meetings will take place during each day, followed by a large convention program each evening.

WHAT TIME DOES THE DEMOCRATIC CONVENTION START TONIGHT?

The official DNC convention program begins tonight at 9/8c. Speeches will run from 9 p.m. to 11 p.m. ET every night, with each speaker allotted a different amount of time (more on that below).

There are a variety of different ways to watch the 2020 DNC online. Viewers can access the 2020 Democratic National Convention live stream for free on the DNC’s website, via their Twitter, Facebook, or YouTube pages, or on Twitch.
