2020 RNC National Convention: Time, Live Stream Info, and Speakers

Now that the 2020 Democratic National Convention has come to an end, it’s Republicans’ time to shine. This year’s Republican National Convention will feature speakers and performances from across the country, and like the DNC, the bulk of it will take place virtually. Will the GOP be able to match the Dems’ widely-praised event?

With an era-defining election on the horizon, Americans should be sure to tune in to the 2020 RNC, regardless of their political affiliation. Here’s everything you need to know about the Republican National Convention schedule, live steam information, speakers list, and much, much more!

WHEN DOES THE RNC CONVENTION BEGIN?

The 2020 Republican National Convention begins Monday, August 24 and runs through Thursday, August 28. Parts of the convention will air live from Charlotte, North Carolina; delegates and caucus members will meet in person throughout the day, followed by a live convention program each evening.

WHAT TIME IS THE REPUBLICAN CONVENTION TONIGHT?

The official RNC convention program begins each night around 8:30 p.m. ET. Major speeches will run from 9 p.m. to 11 p.m. ET each night, with the night’s biggest draws slated for the 10 o’clock hour.

REPUBLICAN CONVENTION SPEECH SCHEDULE: DONALD TRUMP, CHARLIE KIRK, LARA TRUMP, AND MORE

Each night, the 2020 GOP Convention will feature a variety of different speakers and performers, culminating in an acceptance speech from President Donald Trump on Thursday night (the president will also speak on Monday-Wednesday). The full RNC schedule is still in flux, but here are some highlights for each night, in no particular order:

RNC CONVENTION LIVE STREAM: WHERE TO WATCH RNC CONVENTION 2020

There are a variety of different ways to watch the 2020 Republican National Convention live. Viewers can watch this year’s event live on the RNC’s official website, via their Twitter, Facebook, and YouTube pages, or on Twitch.

Political junkies can also find an RNC live stream on their computers and mobile devices through Amazon Prime Video. Simply search for “RNC” and get to streaming.

But that’s not all! Major RNC speeches will air across multiple cable channels and streaming affiliates, including C-Span, CNN, Peacock, MSNBC, and Fox News. Major networks like NBC, ABC, and CBS will carry the final hour of each night, beginning at 10/9c. To find the exact channel numbers in your area, head to your cable provider’s website.

Certain cable customers will also have special access to the 2020 RNC. AT&T U-Verse customers (Channel 121/1212 in SD/HD), AT&T DirecTV (Channel 201), and Comcast Xfinity (say “RNC” into your Xfinity Voice Remote) customers will be able be able to watch the RNC live all week long.
