What is Sling Freestream?

Sling Freestream is a new, ad-supported streaming service that’s entirely free for you to use. It has over 270 live channels and more than 40,000 shows available to stream on-demand.

Do I Need An Account To Use Sling Freestream?

We recommend signing up for a free Sling account to use Sling Freestream because it opens up more opportunities within the service. You won’t have to provide your credit card information to make a Sling Freestream account, just your email address and a password.

What Can I Do With A Sling Freestream Account?

Once you have an account, you can create viewing profiles for everyone using the account.

Each profile will have the ability to create a watchlist and favorite channels. Your progress on VOD titles will also be saved, so if you pause and have to come back later, it’ll keep your spot.

You can also access parental controls from the settings menu with an account.

Can I Convert My Sling Freestream Account Into A Paid Sling TV Account?

You bet! Inside the “my account” settings menu, you’ll have the opportunity to upgrade your Sling Freesream account into a paid Sling TV account on one of three base plans: Orange ($40/month), Blue ($45/month), or Orange & Blue ($60/month). You’ll get your first month on any of the base plans for 50% off and you can get a free month of Showtime and MGM+.

Adding a paid base plan adds up to 48 more live channels in addition to the channels included with Sling Freestream, including local news affiliates from NBC, Fox, and ABC (where available) and live sports on ESPN and FS1.

What Can I Watch Sling Freestream On?

Sling TV’s app is supported on smart TVs, streaming devices, smartphones, and tablets from all major brands, including LG, Samsung, Roku, Chromecast, Fire TV, Apple, Android, plus Xbox Series X|S.

Can I Add Paid Streaming Service Subscriptions To Sling Freestream?

Yes! Sling TV offers a number of add-ons that include premium streaming services. It’s just another example of services making it easier by combining as much content as you want into as few apps as possible. All of the content from anything you add on will be available directly inside Sling. You don’t even need a Sling base subscription (like Sling Blue or Orange) to add a premium service.

There are 47 total services that you’ll have the option to add to your account, ranging from $2 to $10/month. Among the available services are Showtime ($10/month), MGM+ ($5/month), Starz ($9/month), AMC+ ($7.99/month), and Discovery+ ($4.99/month).
