Likes: very easy to adjust the light to perfect orientation to newspaper. Nice sleek minimalist look. Very easy to assemble except for installation of clips that hide the power cord.
Dislikes: the installation of the clips to hide the power cord was time consuming and was difficult. The light is premium priced compared to a somewhat similar functioning light sold at Sharper Image. The dimmer control is a little difficult to see (blends in too much with the stand).

I have bought three Koncept lamps, because they have a great design (i.e., they look cool). But the Equo lamp has some technical issue, in that something gets shorted occasionally, and it has to be taken apart and put together again to work again. One of my other Koncept lamps (a Z-bar) quit working, and while Koncept's service department responded to my concerns, it never resolved my issue. This is not acceptable for such expensive lamps.

Good: The lamp is very attractive and adds a nice modern touch to the room. Its a good size. The price seems reasonable.
Bad: I absolutely hate the on/off slide control! Its wonky and usually takes 2-3 attempts to get it to work. The whole lamp is plastic. Just yuk, plastic. I do think it looks cheap up close, but from a distance its fine. The lamps I received did not come with any kind of cord control as the description states that they do. Not sure why. So the cord strings out from the top of the lamp which is not horrible I guess, but Im not thrilled with that. The light bar itself is very bright and clear, and the little hood doenst offer much shade, you need to get it tilted just so, in a direction where it won't blind others in the room. But for reading, its great.
Overall: I bought these because I was too cheap to buy the better quality, pricier versions out there. I still feel they are somewhat over-priced for how cheap they look, but the $ savings is worth it to me.

My husband loves this lamp. He prefers to have a direct light on whatever he's reading. I don't like it. I prefer more light. But it's what he wanted and he is pleased. We both agree that the lamp is wobbly and the channel that holds the cord doesn't hold it very well. The lamp is overpriced and I don't understand why my husband likes it. But because he does and because we bought it for him, I'm giving it four stars (instead of less). Too wobbly to give it five stars...
