Amazon Studios and Broad Green Pictures have made a deal to co-distribute Nicolas Winding Refn‘s upcoming Cannes Film Festival pic The Neon Demon, which will now bow in U.S. theaters on June 24. Under terms of the deal, Amazon and Broad Green will co-distribute the pic in theaters, with Broad Green handling the home entertainment windows before the film premieres on Amazon Prime.
Neon Demon screens in the Cannes competition May 20 and is one of five Amazon titles in the Official Selection.
Elle Fanning, Karl Glusman, Jena Malone, Bella Heathcote, Abbey Lee, Christina Hendricks and Keanu Reeves star in the movie, which centers on aspiring model Jesse (Fanning) who moves to Los Angeles and sees her youth and vitality devoured by a group of beauty-obsessed women who will use any means necessary to get what she has. Refn penned the screenplay with Mary Laws and Polly Stenham.
Lene Børglum, Sidonie Dumas and Vincent Maraval are producers.
