Netflix has ordered 10 episodes of Norm Macdonald Has a Show, a new talk show fronted by comedian and ex-SNLer Norm Macdonald. He will host, executive produce and co-showrun the show, which will feature sidekick Adam Egret and a celebrity guest.
The deal comes as Netflix solidfies its talk show lineup after the run of Chelsea Handler’s Chelsea. It has recently launched shows by David Letterman and Joel McHale, and set up deals with The Daily Show‘s Hasan Minhaj and Michelle Wolf.
Lori Jo Hoekstra is executive producer and co-showrunner of Norm Macdonald Has a Show, which is being produced by under Macdonald’s Anchor Spud Productions along with Pygmy Wolf Productions in association with Lionsgate Television, which also is behind McHale’s Netflix show. K.P. Anderson and Daniel Kellison are also executive producers.
