Welcome to the documentation site for the official MongoDB Java drivers. You can add one of the following drivers to your application to work with MongoDB in Java:

  • Use the Java Driver for synchronous Java applications.

  • Use the Java Reactive Streams Driver to use the Reactive Streams API for asynchronous stream processing.

You can use the Java drivers to connect to deployments hosted in the following environments:

  • MongoDB Atlas: The fully managed service for MongoDB deployments in the cloud

  • MongoDB Enterprise: The subscription-based, self-managed version of MongoDB

  • MongoDB Community: The source-available, free-to-use, and self-managed version of MongoDB
