I wish there was an easy way to separate kinds of revenue. $1mn in a services business with big overhead ...is very different than $1mn in ecommerce sales for a physical product with a big inventory ...is very different than $1mn in a SaaS that has $10mn in VC funding spent to get there ...is different than $1mn in a SaaS with a small bootstrapped team In fact, when you take into account the profit, investor dilution, and potential acquisition multiples, it can mean that the smallest numbers you see on social media are the most valuable businesses to their owners.

We cut CAC by 50% for a $20B publicly traded mobile apps client. Not bad considering we just started expanding into mobile this year. Q: How do I get affiliate partnerships? A: Let's reframe the conversation a little bit. Your internal marketing team is responsible for brand building, acquiring attention, and providing the sales team with leads. The sales team is responsible for converting those leads into sales. So essentially you have an internal department that is a 'lead getter' and one that's a 'lead closer'. What you're really asking for is how to get more lead getters. Lead getters are affiliates. Lead getters can be current clients Lead getters can be content creators Lead getters can be marketing partners Leave getters can be manufacturing and distribution Lead getters can be associations Overtime these lead sources can dwarf your internal marketing team. In terms of scalability they're more important. Which means that part of your marketing and sales team should be dedicated to getting lead getters. Every time yoy close a client, that's one sale. Every time you close a lead getter, that could be a continuous stream of new leads. Develop a comprehensive system with beneficial payout. Then start marketing to lead getters like you would to leads.
