The official Google Photos app is made for the way you take photos today and includes essential features like shared albums, automatic creations and an advanced editing suite. Additionally every Google Account comes with 15 GB of storage and you can choose to automatically back up all your photos and videos in High quality or Original quality. You can then access them from any connected device and on photos.google.com.
With the official app, you get:

I still use Google photos as my main source of photo collecting. However, with the recent update has a flaw. Which is putting all of ones photos on the folder into one folder. To which you have to click to expand even more folders. There was nothing wrong with the prior version. This one is to cluttered and confusing to grasp at the sight of what it's showing.

The new layout makes it awful to navigate. I especially don't like the "people and pets" section because it takes up space that could be used by albums, making it much harder to get to photos. The old layout was very good, it was quick to get to albums and pictures. Instead of making problems that didn't exist worst, you could focus on fixing glitches that have existed for a long time, like the favorite photos only being blank squares and never loading, making the app more convenient. Thank you!

I see a lot of improvements, however I just have a few suggestions to dealing with larger amounts of pictures. I would like for dates to be clickable when you open the details of a photo. It would make it easier when scrolling through albums. Regarding albums, I would like for a "scroll through date" feature, similar to the one when scrolling on the main page, but in albums. I use albums a lot since there are some pictures where the faces are not recognized as such, this would help significantly
