‘Donald Trump’ Announces His Comedy Central Talker, The President Show
Comedy Central is going alllllll in on the notion that people like a semi-decent President Donald Trump impression.
After teasing the new series last week, the cabler has officially announced that The President Show will premiere Thursday, April 27 at 11:30/10:30c, airing weekly leading out of The Daily Show With Trevor Noah.
“Trump” himself, to be played by impressionist/host Anthony Atamanuik, let the “press” in on the non-#FakeNews via the video clip above.
The premise of The President Show has Trump “bypassing the crooked media by hosting a late-night show direct from the Oval Office,” reads Comedy Central’s press release. “No unfair questions from reporters, no awkward photo ops with German ladies, and no bedtimes. Just a fun show where he can put his unique Trumpian spin on such late-night staples as desk segments, field pieces and guest interviews.”
Vice President Mike Pence will be played by Peter Grosz.
“Laughing at the President is a proud American tradition and we hope not to disappoint anyone in that department,” Atamanuik said in a statement. “But our political system is too broken for us to be content joking about one man, even though he is a disastrous silly little toddler boy. Mostly I’d just like to thank Comedy Central for giving us this platform to speak truth to power and if we’re lucky, end up in prison!”
Is The President Show something you will watch, or does the teaser above suggest it will be way, way too much of a merely OK thing?
Wow he sounds just like him. They need to do a better makeup job or prosthetics to make him look more like Trump.
You know what’s amazing? This dialogue sounds bigly like what he would say in real life.
So its going to be in the vein of That’s My Bush? Count me in, that show was hilarious.

Why would we want to watch this? Living through the real one is bad enough, I don’t want to watch a fake one either.

What’s so bad about Trump? All he has done is begun to make America great again.
And you will be saying the same thing in 2020 (if they have still kept him around as President then). He has just begun….give him a chance…even though he claimed he would do it in 100 days.
Seriously, what has he done that is so great. I guess you must be a white old man because that is the only group he hasn’t attacked. Hopefully you don’t have a wife or daughter or grandchildren because he has no regards for them or the environment. Keep your fantasy if it gets you through the day.

It started out funny (before he won), but it is not funny anymore. God Bless America….. :o/
