Biography
/En/
Anna Zett is an artist and writer. Centering embodied language and associative narration, her sensual and analytical practice questions systems of repression, and invites response and recovery. This work results in films, radio plays, texts, objects, tangible installations and participatory live formats, like the recent choreographic collaboration Postsocialist Group Improvisation, supported by the Berlin Grant Program for Artistic Research.
Since the release of her first essay films Dinosaur.gif and This Unwieldy Object in 2014, both based on her academic thesis about US-American dinosaur film, Zetts work has been shown in international contexts of contemporary art, film, performance and discourse – at cultural institututions, festivals, and selforganized spaces across the world.
From 2018, she has been reconnecting with her Eastgerman pre-history, and a research in the GDR Opposition Archive in Berlin initiated a series of works about symbolic and material waste disposal, among them the experimental archive thriller Es gibt keine Angst (2023).
Zetts publications include two experimental radio plays for the German public broadcast, and the literary text collection Artificial Gut Feeling (Divided Publishing, 2019).

Daraus ging u.a. der experimentelle Archivthriller Es gibt keine Angst (2023) hervor.
Zu Anna Zetts Veröffentlichungen zählen zwei experimentelle Hörspiele für den öffentlich-rechtlichen Rundfunk sowie die literarische Textsammlung Artificial Gut Feeling (Divided Publishing, 2019).
