EXCLUSIVE: Annabeth Gish has been cast in Mike Flanagan‘s psychological thriller Somnia, from Intrepid Pictures, Demarest Films, and MICA Entertainment. Gish, most recently seen on FX’s The Bridge, joins Kate Bosworth, Thomas Jane, and Jacob Tremblay in the pic about a couple who take in an orphaned child whose dreams and nightmares manifest when he sleeps. She’ll play Natalie, the case worker assigned to young Cody. Flanagan co-scripted with his Oculus co-writer Jeff Howard. Trevor Macy of Intrepid is producing alongside Demarest’s Sam Englebardt and William D. Johnson, with D. Scott Lumpkin and Mali Elfman exec producing. Gish will also be seen in Kyle Wilamowski’s upcoming Grass Stains. She’s repped by Thruline Entertainment and Innovative Artists.
Robert Patrick has joined the cast of Bruce McDonald‘s Hellions, which is already filming in Toronto. He’ll play Corman, a tough-as-nails cop who comes to the aid of a teenager (newcomer Chloe Rose) plagued by three malevolent trick-or-treaters on Halloween. The latest from cult Canadian helmer McDonald (Pontypool), Hellions is written by Pascal Trottier (The Colony) and also stars Rossif Sutherland (Reign), Luke Bilyk (Degrassi: The Next Generation), and Rachel Wilson (Republic of Doyle).
