Officers working at Nugent's Sunday night concert were told that 55-year-old Mick Brown was intoxicated, had stolen the cart and was driving it recklessly on a foot path.

How rock and roll.

I'm sure he can replace him, how hard could it be to play drums on a Ted Nugent tune? I could do it and I suck on drums.

I thought you sucked on the organ.

Now I'm heckling myself.

Typical fedzilla goons. Picking on a guy who is so painfully low he has to drum for ted Nugent. Give the guy a break. He's at rock bottom and just wanted to numb the pain and ride in the tiny car.

The BDN had a funnier article.... They removed the best part which was...

"No damage was reported to the cart although two traffic cones were damaged, one still under the cart, significantly so. "

Police were alerted that Mick Brown, 55, who is Nugent's drummer, had stolen a golf cart used by Waterfront Concerts staff and was drunkenly driving it around the Front Street area at about 9:45 p.m., according to Edwards.

Several people had attempted to stop Brown, but he had sped away down the foot path near the Sea Dog, the sergeant said. Jordan later observed the cart with two females on board near the Railroad Street crossing, and attempted to stop Brown, again without success.

After Brown had accelerated past Jordan, Edwards said a security officer got close enough to stop him, but Brown gave the officer a shove. Two other security team members removed Brown from the cart physically and he was placed under arrest.

Brown was taken to the Penobscot County Jail and booked on charges of operating under the influence, driving to endanger, theft and assault. He was later released on $4,000 bail.

If the only Nugent song you know is "Stranglehold", you're not paying attention and I pity you. You can hate his politics or his personality all you want but that guy has made and continues to make great records and Wild Mick Brown is from Dokken, he's no slouch on drums. Seems like Dave Grohl got busted for DUI on a golf cart a few years ago as well.

Dude this is just sad. Once upon a time not so long ago, rock n roll mayhem meant getting in fights with the cops, wrecking into a train at 100 mph while shooting smack, driving across state lines with a 17-year old. You know, something spectacular and worth a news story. But now, just look at this; a f*cking golf cart? Guy looks like a fat lesbian trucker. This is why we can't have bad things.

Fark him and his music. It could never, ever be good enough or talented enough to get me past his politics and what a shiatball he is. If he kept his politics to himself I'm sure he'd have a lucrative career on royalties from AOR stations and playing county fairs. He'll still have that lucrative career, but we all get to call him a coont and negate his music because he's a horrible person. shiat, I heard Pol Pot made some kick as flute music, I pity the fool who doesn't appreciate it.

17 year old? You must be young. Back in my day, you weren't a rocker unless she was 13 years old, and either the police chief's kid or your cousin.

I know a lot more Nugent songs than Stranglehold, and I have to say, I don't care what your politics are, 99% of it is farking terrible. It's music for people with mullets, an old Z-28 and an ever expanding middle who want to pretend that it's still 1978, because that was the last year they were still cool and their lives didn't completely suck. It's just typical dull as shiat, misogynistic "cock rock" crap. If not for his political spewings nobody under the age of 45 would know or care who this farkhole is. He'd be about as well remembered as Foghat and Black Oak Arkansas.

The one thing I will give the Nuge credit for is being able to play a hollowbody that loud without getting obnoxious howling feedback.

So it wasn't legally a motor vehicle and it wasn't on public roadway. How can thy justify that as DWI. Reckless endangerment, maybe. Disturbing the peace, probably. Public intoxication, definitely. But DWI? That's just insane.

Driving while intoxicated means just that. Driving ANYTHING while you're drunk is by definition DWI. People get arrested for DWIs while driving bikes, boats, lawn mowers and horses. Also, most times DWI = a night in the drunk tank and a release with a citation or no charge. Everything else you listed is a misdemeanor at the very least. I'll take the DWI over an actual criminal charge.
