Harry Bosch will be back.
Amazon Studios has ordered up a third season of Bosch, its crime-procedural adaptation of Michael Connelly’s best-selling novels.
Bosch‘s February 2015 debut was the largest premiere for an Amazon series at the time, and the show went on to be the most watched title on Amazon’s Prime Instant Video platform during its first four weeks. Season two became available on March 11.
Bosch stars Titus Welliver in the titular role alongside Jamie Hector (The Wire), Amy Aquino (Being Human), Madison Lintz (The Walking Dead) and Lance Reddick (The Wire). Treme‘s Eric Ellis Overmyer developed the series for TV and executive produces alongside Connelly, Pieter Jan Brugge and Henrik Bastin.
Bosch was the first original drama from Amazon Studios and was part of the company’s early push to offer TV and film programming for subscribers to its $99-a-year Prime service. The streamer is also behind half-hours Transparent and Mozart in the Jungle. Next up for Amazon is the April 8 season-two premiere of Catastrophe starring Rob Delaney and Sharon Horgan.
