Peter Lee became the Director of the American International School of Muscat (TAISM) on July 1, 2024, succeeding Kevin Schafer. A key member of TAISM since 2006, Lee has promoted community and wellness as Middle School Principal. With extensive educational qualifications, he is dedicated to student development and excellence. The TAISM community eagerly anticipates his leadership and the promising future ahead.

Participating in the Middle School Musical “Camp Rock” at TAISM was an incredible experience, highlighting the school's strong performing arts program. The musical fostered community, teamwork, and new friendships, both on stage and backstage. Traditions like sharing Skittles before performances and holding hands to transfer energy added to the excitement and camaraderie. This experience inspired a deep appreciation for theater and its impact, making it a memorable part of student life.

Twelve TAISM students visited Sultan Qaboos University to learn about breast cancer research from Dr. Sirin Adham, whose study is funded by their Terry Fox fundraising. They participated in a contest to identify lab equipment, toured the lab to see cancer research techniques, and impressed Dr. Sirin with their knowledge. The visit ended with a Q&A about Dr. Sirin's career and advice for aspiring scientists, highlighting a strong partnership between TAISM and the research team.
