We had reservations, it just happened to be Baltimore restaurant week so we indulged in the brunch.
The ambience - it's a vibe! Very modern chic with velvet curtains & wood tones.
The service - our server was attentive & kept the mimosas coming.
The food - didn't wow me.
Smoked Fish Bellavista - this was tasty but more crostini would be nice they only gave us two small pieces.
Polenta Al Funghi - the polenta was nice and crisp on the outside and creamy on the inside. The mushroom sauce was good.
Chicken Parmesan Waffles - I really wanted to like this, but something about the marinara, cheese, and maple syrup - just didn't quite hit the mark for me.
Filet Benedict - pretty tasty, the filet was cooked to perfect medium.
Dessert: Tiramisu French Toast this really lacked luster and there was not much tiramisu flavor.Helpful 1Thanks 1Love this 1Oh no 0 - Jun 21, 2024
We came to this restaurant to celebrate my partner's birthday. The staff was gracious enough to give us a free birthday cake at the end (Limoncello Cake slice).
Food: We ordered the Carpaccio Di Polipo (Grilled Octopus) which we gave it a 5/5 - great taste and texture, Carpaccio Di Manzo (raw thinly-sliced filet mignon) which we gave it a 4/5 - we thought the excess of parmesan cheese overpowered the beef, and for pasta we got the Pappardelle Zafferano (extra-wide artisan pasta with seafood and saffron cream) which we gave it a 3/5 - we thought the pasta itself was too bland. Overall the food was 4/5.
Service: Aside from the gracious free birthday cake we received, we thought the service was a bit slow. Took us awhile to order and receive our food, but it also could be the fact that maybe the restaurant was a bit understaffed that day. Service we gave it a 3.5/5.
Ambiance: Great ambiance, great for small and big parties. We gave it a 5/5.
Price Range: $$ - $$$. Appetizers range from $14-22. Main dishes and pasta range from $24-52 per dish.
Overall Experience: 3.5/5 - 4/5. Good experience overall.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Aug 5, 2024
Haven't visited Limoncello since Dec 2019 for a large birthday party, can't remember what I ordered but I wasn't excited. Stopped in on a Sunday to try it again... ordered 2 different cocktails, and they were delicious!!! The bartender was very attentive with us. I went with the mussels for my appetizer, I'm used to a garlic flavor sauce.. this was a darker and sweet flavor, different but soooo good. For my entree, I had the 7layer lasagna... I added some salt & pepper and it was perfect... I literally ate everything on thee plate! I'll be back during the day on my next off day and order the exact same thing!

So let me start by saying I used to LOVE Limoncello; however, we went in January and again this past Tuesday night for Restaurant week, and the service was subpar. On Tuesday, we sat down at 8:48pm and didn't get our drinks until after 9:20. When we did, my wine glass was full of fingerprints and the Cabernet tasted watered down. My husband ordered a Limoncello Martini but received a Blush instead. I had the mussels which had a unique balsamic vinegar flavored sauce -- I wasn't a fan. The bruschetta was tasty, but it was a bit salty. My husband had the Wagyu, but he said it didn't taste like one. I had the salmon. It was tasty, but it was also a bit salty as well. For dessert, we ordered the torte and the Italian donut. They were good! The warm donut and ice cream were delicious. The vibe was nice as usual, and wasn't too crowded.

Wow !!! I can see why they were nominated for best fine dining restaurant within Baltimore. The decor, service, and freshness of the food were impeccable. Our server Miguel was a gem and made sure we were well taken care of. It's quite dim in the main dining area but they also have a patio and bar area of which you may dine if you require additional lighting.
I will definitely be retiring the to try their happy hour and brunchHelpful 0Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - May 15, 2024
Homemade pasta and sauces to salivate too.
Heard great things and this place didn't disappoint. They sweat the details. Unassuming space in the Anthem apartment bldg.
flavored limoncello was worth a try.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - 266494954May 25, 2024
A friend and I came during Baltimore winter restaurant week. I was looking forward to it because I heard so many great things about the food but I was somewhat disappointed. The ambience was great for date night. The service was also great. Our server was very attentive. The food was underwhelming. I had mussels for an appetizer, salmon for an entrée, and a cannolo scomposto. The mussels were slightly salty and the salmon was very bland. I really only enjoyed my dessert. My friend chose the better dishes but still nothing that stood out to me.

Pasta is to die for. Happy hour is one of the best in the city. The bartenders are super nice and funny! Perfect for an after work happy hour or a romantic dinner date. Everything on the menu is 5 stars.

Oh mío Dio!! This place has been my favorite place to eat in Baltimore! From the moment you walk in, you're transported to another dimension with their decor, lighting and careful attention to detail.
The food was to die for! As an appetizer, we shared the polenta with mushrooms and the bruschetta. Both were delicious, but the bruschetta was my favorite. For dinner, we had the gnocchi and the flavors were just so well-balanced. The dessert was fine (gelato), so I regret not ordering one of their signature desserts. I'll be back and won't make that mistake again.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0
