Ella Dining Room and Bar

I went there for lunch based on the picture from yelp. Right off the bat, I really wasn't inspired by the current lunch menu; there was just nothing interesting for my taste.
I ended up ordering a caesar salad, the onion dip, and a panna cotta desert.
Everything was absolutely amazing! beautiful and super tasty.

Today we had reservations for lunch at 11:45, we arrived early and sat at a table for 4. We were there to have a special lunch and celebrate an employee. When we arrived there was only 2 tables ours and another table.
For reasons I am still unsure of it took 15 mins for us to give our drink order and we did have to ask a server who our server was so we could order. It seemed that it was unsure to the waiters who our server was. It then took 17 mins for us to receive our drinks. It was not busy so it really felt that we were being ignored. There were other tables that received drinks and food way before we did.
We did eventually order our food, it arrived and we did like what we had to eat it really was the overall customer experience. it was not what we were used to when we all have come here previously.
We received no apology or explanation which really would have gone a long way.
I want to end on a positive note the lemon bar was really delicious and lemon is not my favorite.

Best happy hour in town. Best Caesar salad, and best oysters in town. Did I mention best happy hour in town? Actually probably the best happy hour in any places I've visited.

They have one of the best gin and tonic and as of recently (may 2024), it was only $5. They always offer multiple types of delicious fresh oysters. Service has always been great and the ambiance of the restaurant is upscale.

They used to validate parking, but no longer. Valet is offered at $12 and you pay with your food bill.

Hubby and I were looking for some place to grab a quick drink and bite before a show. Randomly Walked in here on a Friday evening with hubby for drinks and an appetizers. This is one of those places that normally take reservations, but we didn't have any. We were just a walk-in and for those who just walk in they normally have little tables on the outskirts of the restaurant, with smaller tables against the windows, for that kind of seating. The place is very dark, beautiful and romantic. This place has been on my bucket list for a minute because I have heard about their Michelin star mentioned fried chicken. Everything from the food to the drinks to their service was fantastic. We will definitely be back here again another day a great spot for a date.

Really classy place. Came in for a business lunch on a Tuesday and it was packed. Had Annie constraint due to a flight so we were in a rush.

Seated after about a 5 minute wait -outside. Was a nice day so was ok

Ordered an old fashioned and it was really good. Bourbon selection here is amazing. Have every allocated bottle you'd want.

Tried the prawn app as well as the Manila clams. Shrimp was cooked perfectly with a tangy sauce and shaved horseradish over the top. Went right to the nose but was was delicious

Clams were really good too. Lot of flavors with sausage and cheese clams. Different for sure. Only knock was clams were full of sand, everyone at the table was crunching loudly

Ordered the salmon entree and it was good. Fresh salmon over a pea purée. Very tasty

Service was ok, we were in a rush and let them know but still seemed slow. Most people, including myself enjoy a paced dining experience so no fault to them for the pace.

I come to Ella a few times a year since I work nearby. I celebrate special occasions with family and friends, and I also stop in for a drink at the bar by myself sometimes. The bartenders are legit. Cocktails here are always really good.
My go-to food item is the bone marrow. I often order it as my entree. This last occasion, while I was having dinner with co-workers, I left hungry. The grilled bread has been replaced but really thin crostini. My marrow was overcooked, so there wasn't much there. It was also overly salty. I really hope this was an isolated incident.

Great beautiful restaurant. It's been years since I've been here and didn't realize I had never reviewed it. The space is so open and airy and fun. My friends and I all shared the truffle brioche then I had the beet salad and the crispy half chicken. All of it was tasty but I think the ambience and service in the restaurant is what makes it special.

I went here for my belated birthday dinner and it met my expectations for sure. The truffle brioche and bone marrow appetizers were really good and I definitely recommend both if you are out for a special occasion. I got to try a bit of the king salmon, crispy half fried chicken, and tenderloin since we were all sharing. The king salmon was perfectly cooked and I really liked the sauce it came with. I didn't love the blue cheese mousse that came on the tenderloin (just my preference, if you like blue cheese with beef give it a shot) but the steak was perfectly cooked and I liked the mushroom sauce underneath. The crispy fried chicken was SO GOOD. Get that if you like bone-in fried chicken you will not regret it. The service was great and this is definitely a nice restaurant with great ambiance. Dress up a little if you come here but it's not too strict.

This was highly recommended to us. Ella did not disappoint, from the Service to the ambiance, The pre dinner cocktails were vey nice. The food WOW, this was a special experience. A must return for us. We were there celebrating our 37th Anniversary.

I've always wanted to eat here so I decided to visit this restaurant with a friend for happy hour. I made a reservation through Yelp, and upon walking in we were seated right away. When the waitress came to our table with some waters, she asked if we were dining for any special occasion. I quite plainly replied "I've been wanting to try out the happy hour menu!" I'm glad I said this because that is when she explained to us that happy hour dining is only served in the lounge area and it is shared seating at one long table. She walked us over and helped us get situated and we thanked her.

Luckily we didn't have to wait too long until another waitress came by to ask us if we were ready to order. We ordered a couple of cocktails and for food we got the crispy chicharrón tacos, the steak tartare, and the Caesar salad. Everything was delicious and the prices were reasonable. Will definitely be visiting again!
