So good ! I love many different types of food and during covid I really started to love rice cake. I've learned many recipes and love them all but after trying this place I realize I had no idea what I was doing haha the teobokki is out of this world

Also tried the galbi wings which were 5/5 imo !

We were given free samples of kimbob and I was sad I was too full for a full roll haha will def be back for it tho! The service was very friendly, very inviting :)

K Soul Chicken is in a lively part of SF in Nob Hill area along Polk. Great quick option for some korean fried chicken. They provide gloves if you choose to eat inside, but I imagine they get a lot of take out orders.

We ordered a half Garlic and Jalapeño chicken and another half of their spicy chicken. Both were a combo of wings and boneless. They gave a fair amount for the price ($18) but the volume wasnt lacking or impressive. The garlic and jalapeño was great. Highly recommend this flavor for kfc here. Savory and slightly sweet with some spice from peppers. If anything, I wanted it to be way more jalapeño and spicy forward. The spicy chicken was pretty standard. Seemed like it had some gochujang and was also slightly sweet. Would get both again!

The only thing I wished was better was that the chicken came out piping hot. KFC in korea always comes out hot and juicy. Our chicken came out warm. If it came out hotter, that would have made it that much better. We went right at opening on a weekend

Very Expensive for Korean Chicken Wings. Bought some for a work party and amazed how much it cost! Also, ordered full orders and got only half orders? Not sure how the communication was wrong?

Doubt I'll come back, as it wasn't the bomb as many others stated.

I came here with a group of 4 on a Friday night around 6:15pm and we got seated right away. There aren't too many tables though, maybe enough for 5-6 groups. I did see many people just order take out.

      We ordered:
      - half Galbi chicken
      - half yang nyum chicken
      - ddeokbokki
      - 3 beers and 1 soju

I liked the galbi chicken the most! It was very flavorful with lots of garlic on it. The yang nyum was good as well and also quite flavorful but didn't have a special taste to it, I felt like it was similar to a lot of other flavored korean fried chicken that has go chu jang as a base in the sauce. The ddeokbokki was quite delicious though! It got more spicy as we ate and came with other things like dumplings which was nice. When the shot glasses were brought over, we also asked for beer cups and the waiter was nice he explained the lines on the cup to help mix the beer and soju.

Service was pretty fast too, overall this was a nice place to satisfy our korean fried chicken cravings.

I feel like it's pretty rare to have good Korean fried chicken in SF, they are mostly down in south bay so I was very glad to have found K soul chicken! I ordered the yang nyum and the garlic flavor! I was surprised by how there were fried rice cake in there to give some chewiness to the crunchy chickens! The Yang nyum wasn't really spicy and I kinda wish there were more sauce to it. I would definitely come back again for more KFC!!

      1 check-in

We tried the one with the hot dog and cheese and then just cheese. They were average compared to all the places we've tried them.

Fried chicken isn't just fried chicken. So many different cultures have their way of doing it. I haven't decided which way is my favorite yet. It would be hard to say that Korean fried chicken wasn't in the running. You can see everything I had here. Before I've also had one of their original fried chicken offerings with the jalapeño and garlic sauce. I tried a few new things this time. The chicken sandwich didn't stack up to the elites in the city. The fries were fries. The corn dog was great. You don't find these everywhere. These put regular corn dogs to shame. Highly recommend. I like the regular fried chicken the most but the price is a little high. They do know what they are doing in here though. It's a no frills place. They get you your stuff pretty quick and hot. Can't complain about that. Just a real solid neighborhood fried chicken spot. What's not to like?

Today, I really wanted some fried chicken, and we stumbled upon this restaurant. We ordered garlic & jalapeno, kimchi, go chu jang and yang nyum chicken with the sauce on the side. We were super excited to try this place out because the pictures looked so good. When we finally received our order. We didn't hesitate to open the bag up.
Upon opening the bag, we went straight to the box to see how the chicken looked. The chicken looked great, but we realized there wasn't any sauce in a container. So, we just thought it would be in the bag. After going through the bag, we did not find any sauce at all. We were stuck with 4 boxes of plain fried chicken and the pickled radish. We were really disappointed because we really wanted to enjoy the different flavors from this place. May we will try it again someday.

This is a picture of our receipt with the sauce we wanted
Chicken with no sauce at all.

omfg how this place is so outstanding!!!! me and my boo have been meaning to try this place for quite some time and finally the levee of temptation gave in and we went inside. Sleepy little restaurant amidst the hustle and bustle of the Polk corridor, we decided to of course go for some fried chicken! we got the fried chicken rice plate (comes with a cabbage salad, rice & boneless fried chicken, pickled yummy radish) and the galbi fried chicken and how crispy and delicious it was, was quite amazing and lived up further than our expectations. we also got the kimbab roll that was so addicting. I'm also obsessed with their rice roll cakes that come with the fried chicken plates! So damn good. The service was great and overall delicious fresh food! I will most definitely be back.
