      - Food: We tried the Seafood Kalguksu ($15.99), Spicy Pork Bulgogi ($19.99), and the Hangari Famous Bossam (Medium, $32.99), which were all extremely delicious. The broth of the Kalguksu is incredible, rich, and flavorful. The dish had a variety of seafood, potato, zucchini, and green onion. The broth is perfect, especially on a rainy or chilly day. The sticky marinated pork bulgogi was also delicious, and the pork was marinated and tender to perfection. The spice wasn't overwhelming but complemented the dish perfectly. It was a well-balanced and hearty meal. The Bossam was also delicious. The pork was belly was tender and flavorful, and the cabbage leaves, Kimchi , jalapeño, and garlic made it perfect. I'd highly recommend! In my opinion, the Seafood Kalguksu was the star of the show.
      - Service: Service was good. They were highly efficient and friendly.
      - Ambiance: The restaurant is cozy with wooden tables and small booths. There can be a wait sometimes, but it shouldn't be longer than 30 minutes. There are multiple shops and an H-Mart across the street.

When we arrived, we were able to get a table right away (around 5:00-5:30 pm on a Friday night). Around 6:00/6:30, people had to wait for a table. The servers explained the new items on the menu to us, one of which was the army stew which we ended up ordering! It was nice and spicy, and there were sooo many noodles, meat, veggies, and ddeok in it! It came topped with green onion and cheese (: sooo good, highly recommend if you are sharing with 2-3 people as it is meant for 2 servings.

Parking is very limited and you'll have to pay for valet parking if you decide to park in the plaza's lot or pretty much any surrounding lot/garage. We couldn't find any street parking and ended up settling for the garage on the corner of South Kenmore and 6th. Many of the parking lots are cash only so we had to go to this garage because they take cash and Venmo.

This was my first time trying this place after seeing so many reviews on Yelp. I came here with a group of 5 on a weekday night around 7 PM and there was no wait. We tried a lot of their best sellers including the Hangari Bossam, Chicken Kalguksu, and Tokbogi (rice cakes). The bossam was the best dish here hands down! The meat was so tender and flavorful, and it went well with the veggies. I really wanted to like the chicken kalguksu but it fell short for me. It just tasted like plain chicken noodle soup, so it could've used some more flavor in my opinion.

Being in Ktown, parking is a little rough but we were able to find some street parking nearby. They do have a small parking lot but it can get packed quickly. The servers were attentive and quick.

TLDR: the bossam was delicious, other dishes were okay.

We came around 7pm and was waiting for about 20 minutes, which is not bad at all. Parking is quite limited, but there is public parking available near by.

Service was quick, and the ambiance was casual, not too loud. Perfect for a nice meal with friends.

We ordered a mild spicy seafood Kalguksu and a large Bossam for 4 people which was just right. The seafood kalguksu was delicious! You can really taste the seafood in the broth. The bossam was tender and came with ample side dishes. Overall, highly recommend!

Tried this place after my friend recommended it and it hit the spot! Definitely did not disappoint and glad we came at an off hour (around 2pm) and was able to get seated right away. Even though it was a late lunch, the restaurant was actually still almost full during the whole time we there! The parking lot has a $4 (cash) valet which makes things a lot easier, although they are strict about the parking being just for establishments in the plaza.

The restaurant was well lit from the natural light from the windows and there were simple restaurant decorations that made the over ambiance very causal and approachable.

We ended up ordering the milmyon with spicy pork combo and the medium bossam (belly + jowl mix which was a new item) between 3 people and that was more than enough food. Every single dish was amazing, and I especially enjoyed the cold noodle because not only was the noodle chewy, the soup broth was actually very flavor and not too sour like other ones I've had. The spicy pork was also super flavorful and delicious. The new item that had a mix of pork belly and jowl was also really good. Even thought the jowl was on the fattier side, I found myself liking it even more than the belly.

Overall, I had a great experience here with easy parking, friendly staff, and amazing food. Will definitely recommend and be back again!

Ive been here twice and the food was so amazing. It really lives up to the hype of what everyone raves about.
The service was quick and easy yet the presentation was top tier.
We ordered the Bossam and we were both so full. The servers were nice and friendly. Overall a great experience.

I highly recommend anyone who wants to try Bossam to come here at Hangari Kalguksu. 10/10 would eat again.

Second time to this restaurant and we have tried a few new dishes this time.

      - The dumplings and rice cake soup - 4/5
      - chicken kalguksu - 4/5
      - Bibimbap - 5/5

It's a comfort food. I think I would enjoy it a lot more if it's a cold day. DS LOVES the bibimbap. He said he would eat this weekly if it's in SF.

Very satisfying and delicious lunch. Will be back when we are in town next time!

There was a solid line when we went but they move through it unbelievably fast. i don't quite understand how they go just as fast as they do lol. We got the clam kalguksu, chicken jook, hotstone bibimbap, and the bibimguksu. It might not have been warm enough for us to properly appreciate the bibimguksu but i do think it was pretty good. The jook was nice, homey, and comforting. Kalguksu was good, the clams were a little sandy though. bibimbap was fine. Surprisingly more vegetarian than we would've thought. No meat at all in the bibimbap or bibimguksu.

The food was excellent! The portions were generous, the food was flavorful and cooked well. I got the clam noodle soup. It did not disappoint. The bowl was so big that I ate this dish in 3 different settings. I could taste the ginger and clam flavor in the soup and the noodles were chewy. My partner got the bimbimbop in a stone bowl. That was satisfying as well too. The side dishes including the rice that came with the bean sauce were on point and full of flavor and freshness. The restaurant was noisy and causal. Service was fine. The reason why I am giving this place 3 stars is because the valet service was terrible.

When my partner parked there, the valet repeated twice that only patrons eating there could park there and it was $4 per car. We understood and said yes, we were eating at Hangari, a restaurant in the plaza. He then repeated this information again. After we ate, we walked across the street to H Mart to do some grocery shopping. After we were done, we crossed the street to pick up our car from the valet. The valet looked triumphant and said parking was $10. We said the sign clearly said $4. The valet said that was for patrons of that plaza. We said we ate at Hangari and even showed him our dinner receipt. The valet insisted that we didn't eat there. At that point, I was so upset ,I just took out my wallet and paid him $10 because I just wanted to get out of there.

I didn't want to argue with him any longer.

The food was excellent at Hangari. The service of the restaurant staff was fine too. The valet on the other hand was rude and argumentative. That last part of the entire dining experience was so bad that made me not want to come back to any of the restaurants or shops at this plaza which is a shame.

WOW! Honestly the best food I've had in a WHILE. Went with a friend ~6:30pm on a Saturday and we had to line up but only waited for about 10 minutes or so. The waiter gave us menus and took our order while we were waiting so food was served really quickly after we were sat. And it was amazing!

The broth in the Kalguksu was so flavorful, and the noodles were chewy and fresh. The bossam was incredible as well. Plus, the banchans were such nice pairings with everything else. 10/10 would come again.
