Everytime I come to High Bank, I tend to be re-surprised at how nice the experience is. Its a casual distillery at heart but the food, dining experience, and cocktails are almost always a hit. I've been for dinners, brunch, happy hour and all have been good experiences.
Service is always great, from the hosts to servers. I've called for reservations for larger parties and staff has always been great to interact with. Definitely one of the spots in Columbus that seems consistently great!Helpful 4Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0Business owner information

We visited High Bank for brunch on a Sunday with a large group. The menu is awesome, and several items sounded really good. I ordered a brunchwrap supreme and it was absolutely delicious.
However, we were pretty disappointed in the beverages. A few of us ordered hot coffee. They brought them out in glass mugs (weird for coffee), and the color was so light that it was transparent and looked like green tea. We questioned our waitress when she brought them out but she reassured us it was coffee. I've never in my life had coffee so translucent. It also tasted like crap. I'm guessing whoever made the pot of coffee forgot to replace the coffee grounds so it ran over the old batch of grounds, perhaps even twice given the color. We had to send them back and re-ordered nitro cold brew coffees. But the cold brews also weren't very good, and tasted pretty watered down.
I think we just had a bad experience with the beverages, but the food is definitely worth coming back for.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 1Business owner information

Thank you again, and we hope to see you again soon.Sep 9, 2021Previous reviewThis distillery caters to those who brunch! We stopped by around noon over Labor Day weekend to grab some drinks, but quickly found this place packed with people. Luckily, we were able to grab seats at the bar (open seating). As soon as we sat down, a bartender brought us over two waters before even taking our drink order which was awesome.
They distill their own vodka, gin, rum (one of each), as well as 5 different whiskeys. I got a whiskey flight (0.75 oz pour each) of 'Whiskey War', 'Barrel Proof', and 'Midnight Cask'. I enjoyed the whiskey war, but the barrel proof (118.5 proof) was too strong for me, and I couldn't get much flavor from it aside from the burn of exhaling. The midnight cask had a good initial taste, but I wasn't a huge fan of the sweet, almost vanilla-ish after taste.
On weekends, they offer $5 drinks during brunch hours (Saturday 11-3 and Sunday 10-4). This includes all beer, mimosas, blood mary's, screwdrivers and even some tasteful shots for those looking to have quite the day.
The interior has large windows that let a lot of light in as well as high ceilings and cool decor. They also have TV's scattered throughout. Overall, very good vibes and I can definitely see this being a great spot to bring friends who are visiting.
Everything on the menu sounded good, but we held out as long as we could since we were only planning on coming for drinks (we had actually eaten right before coming). But after some of the drinks set in, we decided to order an appetizer of chorizo rangoons. I absolutely love crab rangoons so anything that says rangoon always catches my eye. These in particular came stuffed with chorizo, pickled peppers, onions and cheese, served with a side of spicy ranch. I don't think I could've come up with something that sounds any better.
Unfortunately, given the huge crowd of people, the kitchen was quite backed up, even for just an appetizer. That may have been a good sign, as the rangoons are potentially hand-made to order. But after waiting about 40 minutes, we finally had to throw in the towel and leave before trying them since we had plans to meet up with other people at a certain time. As we were leaving, the bartender offered to give us a round on the house if we wanted to continue waiting, but we politely declined and said he could have the rangoons if and when they came out. - Jul 7, 2024
This place has some cool drinks made with their housemade spirits. For a Saturday evening, they were out of quite a few spirits and food items from their menu which was slightly dissapointing. The food and drinks we did get were good - particularly the blueberry basil drink was tasty yet strong. The brussel sprout appetizer was delicious, with the pepperoni and hot honey pizza as a close second.

We visited on a busy Friday at 630pm. Parking is a premium in their smallish lot and neighborhood streets. We were lucky.
I have tasted their Whiskey War and maybe their gin. Both are tasty. When someone suggested dinner, we jumped at the chance.
You can look at the menu in other posts but we found it to be really good bar food. Nice spins on old faves served in an exciting industrial atmosphere.
Nice service. Our server seemed to have too many tables but she was very personable.
Our Caesar and hamburger (it's a double!) were excellent as was my $9 whiskey. It was probably that price because it looked like a short pour.
We are new fans and will be back!Helpful 3Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Kudakwashe T.Mason, OH172136Aug 11, 2024

Absolutely amazing tour by Megan! Highly recommend everyone check it out. The whiskey is great, which you already know, but the gin was such a surprise. It's going to be our new go to gin.
