Nice spot in Chinatown for authentic Chinese food. This place made me feel like I was eating home made food. I would highly recommend the green onion pancakes - they were so fresh and crispy!!
The service was also really quick and the workers are very friendly. Additionally, the restaurant is very clean.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Yuko M.Atlanta, GA741Jun 24, 2024
First time San Francisco and found the place with Yelp review. The signature wonton soup was delicious. The servers are quick and polite.

Another excellent and delightful Won Ton Noodle soup and garlic veggie dish lunch meetup! :0)
This restaurant never disappoints! Ate here a couple weeks ago on a Sunday, it was packed. Make sure you add your Name to the Waiting List. I usually eat here on a Weekday and even though they are always busy, I don't usually have to wait more than 5 minutes! Luckily, we only had to wait about 10 - 15min for a table.
Thank you for the delicious, fresh food and fast, friendly service. Can't wait to return soon! :0)Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0May 19, 2023Previous reviewWas starving after playing badminton for a couple hours so came here to order some yummy food!
Salt & Pepper Tofu appetizer and Beef Tendon, Rice Noodle Won Ton soup hit the spot! Beef was a little tough, but everything was tasty! I happily ate both dishes today! :0)
Will likely stick with Choy Sum, Cha-Siu/BBQ Pork Won Ton Egg Noodle soup next time! So very delicious!!! :0)
Can't wait to return!Sep 14, 2022Previous reviewOrdered BBQ Pork, Won Ton, Noodles and added on veggies again. 3rd visit. Tasty! Fast, efficient service.
Aug 13, 2022Previous reviewReturned again, 2nd time this week! This time came with my Family for dinner. We both ordered noodle soups.
Delicious, huge portions!
I also purchased 3 trays of 36 fresh, uncooked Won Tons to bring home and put in the freezer to eat at a future time! When ready, just boil a pot of water, then throw in the frozen, uncooked Won Ton into boiling water for 5 or 6 minutes, remove, then put into hot chicken broth with fresh veggies! A delicious meal at home! :)
Thank You again Hon's Won Tun for thé Yummy food! We will be back!Aug 10, 2022Previous reviewSo VERY happy that they renovated the old Washington Bakery and made it into a fresh, clean and inviting Won Ton Mein restaurant!
I and my Family have been going to the original Hon's on Kearny for decades and we always love their fresh Won Ton, Mein, Broth and Gee Cheurng Fun!
LOVE this new, bright and inviting 2nd restaurant even more! The Cha Siu Won Ton Mein was heavenly, piping hot, huge and delicious down to the last spoonful of broth. I added Choy Sum veggies to mine.
My 2 Veggie Side Orders were spicy, just FYI if you can't handle heat/spice.
They might have their grand opening later this month. Will try to return a couple more times before they make their big announcement and the crowds appear!
Can't wait to return with Friends and Family! Keep up the great work! Thank You for the Yummy Lunch and Veggie leftovers to bring home! :0)
As I was leaving, I realized they also have Won Ton and Siurh Gow to cook in boiling water at home! Just threw both of these into the freezer for a future, easy meal with chicken broth and veggies! - S F.Campbell, CA127841109Aug 10, 2024
I saw this recommended on KQED foods instagram with Chef Martin Yan and host Josh. I've always been entertained by Yan can cook reruns. So I braved the throngs of tourists and Giants fans and made my way to Chinatown.
There was a 25 minute wait at 2 pm. Yup. Popular.
We ordered the XLB, wun-ton noodle, scallion cakes and snow peas.
The snow peas was cooked just right. The wun ton noodles emanated shrimp shell stock and was very mouth watering savory. The crispy scallions cakes could have been rolled out better for flakiness, because it was a bit dense in the middle. One of the stars was the jumbo sized XLB. Well done.
The other star was Chef Yan. He had lunch at the table next to mine. We chatted and I mentioned that his instagram post brought me there. Epic dining experience! He sent me to AA bakery around the corner for egg tart as dessert.Helpful 2Thanks 1Love this 1Oh no 0 - Jul 27, 2024Updated review
Came here second time. It was good while we were eating it there. However, I felt very thirsty after the meal. This is usually happens when I consume MSG...
Noodles were great with texture that's a little "crunchy" or on the firm side instead of soft noodles. This is not the soft noodles you would get from elsewhere normally. We ordered two soup dumplings, the skin was paper thin! Large amount of soup inside the dumplings which is pretty good compared to places I've tried, but as for the flavor of the actual meat inside, I've had better. Wontons were also great. I was a little disappointed after the meal due to my dry mouth... I hope next time I would be better.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0Feb 23, 2024Previous reviewThat was an awesome place for HK style wonton noodles
This place used to be a cafe/bakery, right across from the parking garage in Chinatown. That was some delicious wonton noodles that I haven't had ever seen I visited Asian. I guess I will try my best to describe it. The noodles are thin, texture is on the firmer side. I'm Cantonese I would say that it's "crunchy & bouncy" but the terminology doesn't really translate into English correctly. I don't know how to describe this texture, but you know when you know! Portions are also like it's in Asia lol, which means it on the smaller side. Even the broth taste like the one I had in HK! One thing I like to add some green on ng noodle. But I don't it's not the traditional HK/Cantonese style. This is more like what they called it a "Sae Yung" wontons are legit also, wonton skin is very thin. They make their own XLB in house, but I didn't order it. I saw the next table had it, the skin was paper think! Should try that next time. I'm surprised service was actually decent for a Chinese restaurant. I don't normally expect too much, maybe my car is very low for this role of places - 500010889718Jul 11, 2024
My partner came here for lunch and raved about the wonton noodle soup so a couple days later he had to take me cause I got FOMO.
The wonton wrapping was so thin and the filling was flavorful and plump. We got the wontons in the Beef Organ Noodle Soup variation. The noodles were thin and springy, the broth had a lot of depth with lots of flavor to it. The beef organs were solid too but the star was the wontons for sure.
We also ordered the beef brisket lo mein which came with the same egg noodle as the soup and was more like a dry version of the noodle soup than a lo mein. Came with a side of soup as well.Helpful 25Thanks 6Love this 25Oh no 0 - Jul 12, 2024
Food was great but service was terrible.
We came here for a Friday dinner and had to wait maybe about 20mins for a table.
Service: 0/5
It was a full house, but there were 6 waitresses waiting tables.
-Had to flag down multiple waitresses for water
-My clay pot came after my bf was halfway done with his meal
-Had to ask multiple times for my bowl of rice
-Rice was served in a SCALDING hot bowl which burned our hands when we tried to hold it-- who eats their rice while holding the bowl, I guess???
Food was fine but the lacking service won't have us come back.Helpful 3Thanks 2Love this 1Oh no 1 - 13125101Jul 16, 2024
The best wonton noodle in Bay Area!! Everything in this restaurant is sooo good, this is one of my fav restaurant in SF
This location has bigger and more modern space, and larger menu than the original location. Please expect some line during lunch time and during the weekend, but be patient, because you won't regret it!
Must try:
- Wonton/Wun-tun Noodle
- Green Onion Pancake
- Sichuan Spicy Wonton/Wun-Tun
- Prawns & Pumpkin with Egg Yolk

Okay so before i write anything about the food, there are two Hon's Wun-Tun (that is not a Google map mistake). We went to the other one first and swapped last minute (mostly because the other location closes earlier) and learned the main difference is that this shop has rice, noodles, and entrees.
WE ADORE HON'S WUN-TUN AND WOULD 3000% COME BACK & PARENT APPROVED FROM A FOOD QUALITY STANDPOINT. THEY WILL NOT BE DISAPPOINTED.
This location also has slightly "nicer" seating if that matters!
The food we ordered:
1. BBQ pork and Wonton noodle soup - the wontons and noodles are ON POINT (I think the best I've had in san Francisco actually). I'm a BBQ pork snob so it's hard to please me in that area but these were acceptable
2. Fried buns - a HIT and came out super fresh
3. Scallion pancakes - pancake layers for daysssss and so crispy
For 3 people, this was plenty. The service was also really good and the staff were very friendly. Absolutely would come again!!!Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 2Oh no 1 - Jun 12, 2024
Such good food at a reasonable price!
We stopped by in the middle of the afternoon and it wasn't too busy. We were seated quickly and the food came out quick as well!
The soup dumplings were good albeit a little fragile. They got stuck to each other while steaming and ripped easily. That's okay I was quick to save the insides!
The potstickers were good and the pancakes were light but crispy!
Overall: Delicious, would revisit when in SFHelpful 3Thanks 1Love this 2Oh no 0
