We came after having dinner on Divisadero on a rainy Saturday night. Despite the rain, this place was packed. The bar attracts all types of people, which is cool. Everyone just minds their own business, which is what I like.
The bar itself has a cute vibe and the music playlist was good all night.
The drinks were good and the service was alright.
It seems to be a fun date night spot or a place to hang out with your girlfriends.
I'd probably come back if I was in the Nopa area and wanted to hit up a bar.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Jul 21, 2024
Great food!
Ordered the katsu sando ($18) and shared the duck fat fries ($8). Both came with large portions, enough to take food home for a second meal! Very flavorful and delicious.
Sat in the small outside patio, and the servers were attentive and nice. They allow pets on the patioHelpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Aug 4, 2024
Bars are usually dark so that you have to use a flashlight to read the menu. but this place is so dark you can't see what you're eating.
The food was good although the beet and strawberry salad had lots of beets and slivers from one cut up berry and the smoked tuna was tasty but had very little tuna and I couldn't taste any smoke.
Our server was lovely but the dishes coming out of the kitchen were very slow.
Lively bar crowd.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Jul 10, 2024
drinks:
queen of hearts 5/5 i thought it was a nice fruity drink. as a zero proof drink I really liked it.
service:
the bar servers were very nice. they were also very informative when I asked about mocktails. they told me about what they offered and a little bit of the flavor profile for each of the drinks. The staff were also had a great time with people and felt like there was a lot of good vibes all around.
ambiance: the ambiance is a very casual place. the lighting is moody. theres a good amount of seating and bar seating as well. I would say it's on the louder side so conversing might be a little harder.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Jun 19, 2024
This place is first and foremost a cocktail bar, and DAMN are these cocktails good. "Birds of a Feather" was sweeter than what the description would have you believe (but in a good way), and the "Daywalker" came highly recommended by the waitress, and for good reason! The pineapple foam was reminiscent of an adult-version of a Dole whip.
The heavily Korean-inspired American fare was also delicious and arrived quickly. The duck-fat fries are very rich (as expected) and are honestly too big a portion for two people -- they'd be better split among four or more.
The gochujang chicken wings perfectly master that Korean-style fried chicken; somehow both incredibly saucy and yet still perfectly crispy (seriously, how do they do that??). I enjoy moderate spice and didn't find them too spicy at all.
While the lemon prawns with risotto were good, we found it less inspiring than the Wagyu beef roast from our previous visit -- if you're looking for a home run, opt for the roast.
The vibe is sexy and moody, with a cool atrium in the front. They tend to leave the door open for air flow, so come prepared with an extra layer or two if you run cold.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Jun 9, 2024
This place was so cute! Came here on a Saturday night and was seated outside. The service was great as multiple people came to help us and to check on how we were liking the food. We got 3 appetizers and the Wagyu beef roast.
The deviled eggs were really tasty and flavorful! The cauliflower was also delicious as the portion size was pretty big too but my favorite was the toast and artichoke dip as it melted in my mouth!
The Wagyu beef roast was a bit disappointing as the Wagyu wasn't as flavorful as I would've hoped and the polenta was a bit bland. I was only able to take a couple of bites before I gave the rest to my family which is why I gave this place 4 stars. Personally wouldn't get this dish again but overall I liked this restaurant and might come back to try another item on the menu.Helpful 0Thanks 1Love this 0Oh no 0 - 699126158May 21, 20242 check-ins
I absolutely love the aesthetics here, especially the middle green-house-like area. It does get too loud here so I feel like I'm shouting. The service is very fast, and the servers are attentive.
The food overall was good! My favorites were definitely the smoked trout and beet salad due to the colorful presentation and poignant flavors.Helpful 0Thanks 1Love this 1Oh no 0 - Mar 21, 2024
Food: 5/5
Service: 2/5
Atmosphere: Casual
Value: 4/5
This review is for the brunch menu. My group ordered the Katsu Sandos, Chicken & Matcha Waffle, and Duck Fat Fries.
The Katsu Sandi was top of the line. The chicken thigh was really juicy and tasty and the sandwich is large! Bigger than expected for sure. Have to get it with the egg.
The chicken & waffle is 4 star mainly due to the fact the chicken provided here is tiny. The waffle flavor is great and so is the matcha butter & syrup. The breading and chicken taste great.
We sat outdoors and felt like we got minimal service. The host was the one who took our order and we had to ask. They made us feel like we were a bothersome by asking too. They didn't come by regularly for refills. Overall our service experience was lackluster.
Value wise, I consider it on par with other brunch spots and restaurants of its caliber. I was fine with the prices paid.
Would come back again!Helpful 2Thanks 1Love this 1Oh no 0 - Mar 1, 2024
I celebrated Galentine's here with my girlfriend and we loved our brunch experience! Everything from the food to the cocktails were executed perfectly. Their front terrace is super serene with all the plants, and I love that it's heated too.
My favorite brunch dishes were the BLT with umami candied bacon (YUM), and the duck fat fries, which were perfectly seasoned. My favorite cocktails were their espresso martini (moonraker) and the matcha colada. Both perfect brunch cocktails!
This is definitely a popular spot on Divis and I can see why! I'd love to come back with a friend to chat over a drink and some snacks.Helpful 7Thanks 3Love this 8Oh no 0 - diane d.San Francisco, CA655210252Jun 15, 2024
What a CUTTEEE place! Came here on a Friday happy hour and was able to get seated inside. It is located on the street of Divisadero so there's parking all around.
We ordered a cocktail and a mocktail. The mocktail was quite good and I was impressed!
What definitely blew me away was the duck fries!! I love fries and these were cooked to perfection! The olives were also super tasty and they had a little sauce bowl for our pits.
Would come back for a girls night or intimate dinner date!Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 2Oh no 0 - Jade J.San Francisco, CA436149Jun 19, 20241 check-in
Had a fab date night here - food, drinks, and ambiance were all perfect! It was pretty busy since it was a Friday night and we were sat at the atrium so we assumed the service would be slow however, the servers were super attentive and our dishes came in a timely manner.
We got the Duck Fat Fries w. curried ketchup, Goat Cheese Artichoke Dip, Risotto Ala Milanese, & Two Piece Fried Chicken - highly recommend all these items. For cocktails, we got the Daywalker & Ramblin' Mandarin - both hit the spot, but I would order the Daywalker again. To top it off, we capped with the the Whiskey Butter Cake - super delicious, not too sweet; texture is loaf/pound cake energy.
The menu offers a good amount of options so it was hard to choose - looking forward to coming here again to try the others. Everything we ordered was honestly so tasty, came in big portions, & super fresh.Helpful 0Thanks 1Love this 0Oh no 0
