Do they still require proof of vaccine?
A:
Yes when I went in March, but they don't compare it to an ID and just quickly look.

Are there any gluten free options available? We have a person in our group with celiac. Thank you!
A:
I don't recall items specified as gluten-free but there are items not breaded or without thickeners that may contain wheat, but as a healthcare professional I wouldn't bank on there not being cross-contamination of allergens at some point.

So far this is the best restaurant I've tried in New Orleans. Great ambiance, food, drinks and service!
For drinks I tried the Molly Ringwald, SugarCane Old Fashioned, Chabong and Espresso Martini and I enjoyed them all.
For food I tried the Lobster Aracini, Crawfish Risotto, and Rosemary Lamb Chops...all tasty.
For dessert we had the Pistakion. It was interesting, it was good but idk if I would order it again.
I am not easily impressed but this restaurant hit all the marks for me. I would love to come back to try brunch.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0Business owner information

Food was bad. Really bad. Two fish entrees two drinks, two desserts. $188.00. Couldn't even finish the entrees.
When we were seated at 6:45, there were five tables seated including us. They finally took our order at 7:00 and at 8:15 I had to ask the manager to please hurry and get our dessert and our check because we had an Uber scheduled to pick us up at 8:30 to see a show.
So, the plan for the night was to eat a good meal, then go up to Hot Tin for a drink and a rooftop view.
Instead, it took an hour and a half for two horribly overcooked yet mushy fish entrees, a fancy shmancy basket of crackers (which we had to ask for), and two rushed desserts.
I've lived in New Orleans for 50 yrs and my wife has been here for 20. She said it may be the worst meal she has ever had at a restaurant in New Orleans.
The last count by the Advocate in 2018 showed 1,216 restaurants in Orleans Parish. I would recommend trying every one of them before you waste your money and your time at this place which is surviving on its legacy.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Jun 13, 2024
Celebrated my birthday here recently! The vibes are so nice inside-- there's a cute little disco ball and some greenery on the ceiling. And the photo wall/lounge area where everyone takes picture is perfect.
Our server was very nice and welcoming; however, she did forget to bring out the sides that we ordered, and the food did take a while to come out.
The food was honestly just decent, and for the price point, we were definitely expecting better. The best things we got were the Lobster Arancini and the Fettuccine Nero. The lobster arancini was so warm and delicious with the truffle sauce. The scallops on the Fettuccine were perfectly cooked and seasoned. The other dishes we got (Pappardelle, Rigatoni, Fried chicken parmesan, Crawfish risotto) were just okay.
The complimentary birthday treat was a "Chambong" with sparkler, which is super cute and fun. I was also surprised to find out it was in the same hotel as Hot Tin (rooftop bar), which was a nice bonus.
Overall, I would probably not come again, but it was nice to experience once, and it was an overall nice birthday restaurant.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - 28103248Jan 28, 2024
Man oh man. If you want to visit a place with obvious French influence in terms of food and decor then come here. Another gem in New Orleans that many tourists may not know much about. Located inside of the Pontchartrain Hotel (in the back and to the right) is Jack Rose. As you're walking through the hotel and into the restaurant you'll feel like you were teleported between two different periods of time. It's a sight to see. What I love about NOLA is that even though they put an emphasis on the aesthetics of their restaurants, they are still sure to prioritize the quality of their food and service. Not one bad experience at any place I've been to here.
Came here for brunch w/my cousin and boyfriend. We started with the chambong (a must have), then I ordered the honeysuckle hottie (very unique experience as well- it's a hot tea cocktail w/liquor...but a very solid choice when the weather is gloomy or cold). For food we got the duck & andouille gumbo and the chicken and waffles. One word, three letters - YUM.Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0Business owner information

So i think it's a cute restaurant . Very eclectic .
The food however was very average .
I had the red snapper and my date the fish in the bag .
Both were just really very average.
I enjoyed the appetizers more than the entrees.
Seafood arancini - my favorite app. Light on the inside and crispy on the outside . The only complaint is i wanted a larger portion
Kale Caesar- average
Cracked Potatoes- they were pretty tasty. And of
Course filling
Beet and citrus salad- was light and tasted ok.
While the eclectic decor was charming, the meal
Really was not my favorite.
Our waitress was attentive.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0Business owner information

Whole experience left a lot to be desired. Food was served cold and brought out all at one time like they didn't understand courses. Service was rushed and there were a bunch of empty tables so not like people were waiting on us. Went to celebrate a birthday and the chambong was brought out right after the food (like while we were eating) who does that? Ambiance was nice and IG-worthy but that was it. Maybe this place was quality at one time but not anymore. One positive was that the asst mgr I'm assuming came out at the end and asked how our meal was. We told him the truth and one of the cold dishes was comped. Better than nothing.

I really like the seasoning of the potatoes and the pork. However, with pork chop, a part is really fatty, and a part is just super dry; maybe pork belly would be a better cut. There's also a pork patty that is supper fatty in this dish; I absolutely dislike that. Pasta is mediocre; the noodle is hollow inside, kinda weird. Gumbo is normal. Dessert is meh. It's just 3 flavors of ice cream with some nuts and coconut flakes. Maybe the ube tiramisu would have been a better option. Food comes out pretty slow too.

The ambiance here is sooo nice. I have been to the rooftop bar several times and always just passed up the restaurant. Finally went for a birthday celebration. Loved loved loved the decor and Playlist. The vibe felt playful and eclectic. The pork belly was delicious. The squid ink pasta with scallops is a must have.
They would have earned the 5th star if the food had been hot..came out kinda lukewarm. Worth a return visit to try some other options. Cocktails were pretty tasty as well. Good for date night or a group.Helpful 1Thanks 1Love this 0Oh no 0Business owner information
