Junk A.
No clothes here, but everything else. It's kind of like the back section of Goodwill.

This is absolutely one of my favorite stores. As someone who has always loved to thrift, Junk's Above is a treasure trove!!
From funky retro highball glassware, to Goosebumps
collectibles, assortment of frames, costumes, trinkets, several technology pieces and neon signs, cassette tapes, vinyl & more! You never know what may catch your eye in Junk's Above. Walk in with that feeling, and leave after you've found what you didn't know you were looking for.
Small business local mid-city vibes. Support and go find your own special piece of "junk"! Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Jun 7, 2024Updated review2 check-ins
Popped in to see if any frames in my desired size might be available...not today but they do have Barbie's, Troll Dolls, Lionel train track pieces, dvds ($2-$5), vhs, cassette and cds($2-$5) '84 worlds fair, some furniture, trophies and plenty of vintage glassware. Be sure to stop by to see what's new! Oh and prices are reasonable too! Especially in the "Dollar Cave".

Swung by to see if there were any treasures that needed a new home and found some adorable salt and pepper shakers, a tiny hanging frame and these plastic star accessories that affix to string lights to make them brighter. All for $6!
Thanks to reading the reviews beforehand I made sure to look up and take notice of the lighting for sale. Extremely reasonable for Moroccan style lighting that could easily go for 2 or 3x the price downtown. I've got my eye on one of the lamps so I may be back soon to take that home as well.
There's a whole dollar section including a can of Play-Doh. I'll admit, I huffed it a bit, so I could wax nostalgic for a few moments.
There's also a basket of slides that can provide a few good chuckles if you hold up the right one.
Check this place out! Support local and see what treasures you will find! - Sarah C.Gonzales, LA0181Mar 16, 2024

Very cool!! A lot to see.
I'm from out of town, one of the coolest places I've ever seen.
Definitely come check it out!!Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Chris C.Bakersfield, CA40980170Jul 16, 2017Purchased a Yelp Deal
This place is filled with art, antiques and curososities.
A tiny out of the way store filled with treasures. The owner has lots of one of a kind artwork made from found materials like old wood and empty liquor bottles. We bought a old tequila bottle lamp and bench made from old house spindles.
Instead of buying a bunch of tourist crap from china I bought my kids random vintage toys, my mom a bench and myself an old jewelry box and grain sack as mementos from nola. We stopped in frenchman at art coop and picked up a few things but this place is so much more reasonably priced and fair.
We purchased the voucher on yelp and saved $25 bucks on our $140 bill. It seem like a lot but we literally left with bags and furniture stacked in our rental car.
My only complaint was there is no restroom.
And like lots of places us nola the route is filled with pot holes and bumpy roads so take your time.
Don't forget to look up so much cool stuff for sale that is hanging from ceiling.Helpful 3Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Dec 12, 2016First to Review
Wow! What a fun junk store... or maybe it's junque since some of the items are nicer. They have monthly garage sales which means longer hours on Saturday...check out their FB page for dates.
Random items I was tempted by... a 1990 handdrawn advertisement of a friend's store in Metairie (just remembered to text him), one of those weird 1950s lady vase heads, vintage hardsided luggage, old medicine cabinet, and candy (which was free).
The shop staff was very nice and happily supplied prices for items that were without. Most items were well-priced for the condition and the stock was definitely interesting.Helpful 4Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Lara P.San Antonio, TX23016486Oct 6, 2019
This is a fun little shop with a helpful staff, but the items are more of collectables like toys, Pez dispensers, sports memorabilia. I was hoping to find quirkier items. And it is really small with very limited parking. And I didn't see prices on many things. But if you are a collector this is the place you want to check out.

This place has a little bit of everything. It feels like you are sorting through someone's garage with the way things are organized, but I like that there is a lot to look at and it's well priced. You'll find a little bit of everything here: candlesticks, lamps, old salt and pepper shakers, furniture, clocks, art, etc. Anything you can imagine when you hear the word "knick knack" is for sale at this place. I was happy to see that the prices are reasonable, compared to other shops.
The basic idea of this store is to come and get things that you can maybe repurpose into something you can use. Don't come expecting the items to be in "perfect" condition, although I did find the furniture to be in great shape.Helpful 10Thanks 0Love this 9Oh no 0 - Leia O.Jefferson, LA3063Jul 29, 2019
This is a super awesome thrift store! I got some really great house decorations including a disco ball, a clock, a PEZ Ms. Piggy, and a really cool framed stained glass piece. I got some other stuff too this is just what stuck out. I only spent $30 and it was a really fun place to shop. I could honestly spend hours in there!
