Katie's never, ever never disappoints. Went this week for what has to be the 15th time over the last 2-3 years and as always food was terrific and the server was also great.

Went and had dinner on the coolinary menu as it was too good of a deal to pass up. But.... It forced me off of my rotating favorites the Cuban or the Cochon de lait, the crawfish beignets and the ribs.

Gumbo, blackened redfish and bread pudding was my order and they were all first timers for me and all were outstanding.

Should have left this review a long time ago.

I arrived at Katie's anticipating eating what I had been told were the best chargrilled Oysters in New Orleans. After a 45 minute wait I was seated and proceeded to order said Oysters. The bad news was that they had run out! I was so disappointed. I wished they had sent out a text saying they had run out so I could have gone elsewhere instead of waiting. Since I was seated, I proceeded to order anyway. My friend and I shared the potato skins and a fried shrimp platter. Thankfully, both were delicious and made me briefly forget about the oysters I didn't get. The potato skins were perfectly crisp, and very cheesy with plenty of bits of bacon. Probably the best potato skins I have ever had. The fried shrimp platter was huge and perfect for sharing. Fresh shrimp always taste better in NOLA than anywhere else. We devoured the shrimp and some of the fries that were underneath it.

I did have a great meal at Katie's, but I still may get my chargrilled oysters elsewhere on my next visit to New Orleans. I can't risk such disappointment a second time. Although it is partly my fault for waiting until my last meal in New Orleans to attempt to try them.

I finally made it to Katie's one Sunday after church. I was really anticipating my visit and had a reservation. Church went overtime and so we were late for said reservation. Of course, it's a Sunday afternoon and the place was sooo busy. My date and I were given about a 30-45 minute wait time which was fine. However, that time continued to be extended to the point where a couple other parties offered to sit at a 6 top table to avoid waiting longer for separate tables. So my date and I are sitting at a table with 4 other strangers who also don't know each other and we're just chatting it up and sharing food...It was actually such a random and fun experience and turned out to be sweet.

We ordered the crawfish beignet, crab cake with eggs, and a breakfast poboy! Everything was decadent and delicious. The crab cake beignet and crab cake were both so rich and a tad salty but overall amazing and well seasoned. The breakfast poboy was more like a panini with eggs and bacon...I actually didn't try it but he devoured it quickly. I was also able to sample a stuffed mushroom from one of our table mates and it was really good.

I can't wait to go back to Katie's to try more of their menu items.

Absolutely phenomenal food and known for their brunches, Katie's caters to all! You can't go wrong with any of the items. My only preference Is that the garlic feta fries wasnt sitting in a pool of butter and that the fried green tomatoes had more sauce on it. Besides this, not much that I didn't love! Check photos.

Katies is super small like other reviews mentioned, but it's worth the crowded room. Our waiter was nice and informative of their Brunch items, and didn't make us feel rushed although it was packed.

KEEP IT MIND: I reserved a table on Yelp, and they had a hard time finding it on their tablets. Next time I'd probably call for reservations.

All of the food was delicious, hot, and big portions. I'll be revisiting to try the pizza!

I love how so many NOLA restaurants are designed like someone's home. We ended up on their cozy second floor at a long table. And FINALLY!!! Every time I've come to NOLA it's been on my list to have a muffaletta. This spot was the dinner move, and it was either going to be the St. Louis style pizza (that's a thing?!) or the sandwich. If I got the pizza I was going to share it with a friend, but he opted for something else, so it was muffaletta time. I opted for the veggie one, and I asked for half. Why did the half still take up the entire plate?! I was not prepared!

My advice to you... if you don't like olives, the sandwich may be hit or miss for you. I don't really like olives, but I will try anything once -- the olive flavor is definitely a strong one, but there are other things on the sandwich to help balance it out. And I am a HUGE fan of the bread. I would eat one again... but I would go to what others consider the best place for a muffaletta. Where is that? Anyways... I'd come back to Katie's. Great spot!

Bartender Koryna is amazing! Ordered at the bar, the Bucktown Alfredo special was extremely Spicy though not advertised as such it could've been fantastic had we were offered to substitute the sauce. However, I was immediately offended as the manager Marcus assumed I wanted the dish removed from the tab and would not because over "25% was consumed."

I would continue to patronize this business as Koryna was so special and courteous; she immediately offered to provide a cup of Alfredo sauce to " spice it down", which worked wonders. I appreciate people who are courteous to me and not assume I need things removed from a tab. Do better Marcus! Thank you Koryna.

My husband and I went for lunch today. They were very busy but we were seated right away. The Service was great! We each had one of the lunch specials. I ordered the stuff bell pepper with blackened catfish topped with seafood cream sauce. It was delicious. My husband had the Tuna Nola. He said it was good. We like that they have a parking lot close by that we always park in. It's across the street. The building is old but it's nice and clean bathrooms.

I'm not sure why there are so many great reviews for such mediocre food and half hearted service. We were condescendingly told we could not be seated until my boyfriend came in from parking the car despite the restaurant being mostly empty. After a minute he walked in and they sighed having to take us to our table interrupting their conversation. We got an order of the candied bacon which was gummy and had hardly and sugar. I got the chicken or the egg and got the blandest mediocre food. The eggs ranged from over cooked to undercooked, the grits had no flavor, and the chicken tenders tasted like flavorless frozen food. It was so disappointing I doubt we'll return.

The food at this place is absolutely impeccable. TBH, I have never had such hot food in such a cold place. It was "after a rain" and I noticed that they have (7) 3-4 ton units and (2) minisplits. Bring a jacket because you could freeze. All of the windows are covered with condensate.
Had the soft shell crab and the Boudreaux pizza. The waiter was really attentive, and brought extra plates, etc. it took some shots of the menu with the date and some quick pics of the inside. It was packed, and the Liuzza's a block away was empty. This place is a Nola gold-star restaurant. They even have a wood fired pizza oven out of sight. It looks like the building is 1/2 restaurant and 1/2 kitchen. For the (2) dishes was about $60 with the tip. You bring someone here and it is just "all NOLA". The best table to get is the table at the bar. (They have a table that extends from the bar) First of all kind that I've seen, but what do I know. Venezia's was poppin but Liuzzas on bienville was dead as a doornail. Just like a car, if you let a popular place sit too long by closing it, waiting a year, and then re-opening it-that is a total fail when it comes to word of mouth.
