The BEST omakase and hand roll(s) in New Orleans. The flavors of every single sushi/omakase/hand roll are phenomenal. I have came here twice for their omakase and hand rolls and I have been impressed each time. Both times, I have sat at the bar and watched the chefs prepare the omakase/sushi. It's an experience! The chefs give an intro to each roll and it's a very social environment. It's perfect for date night, or a night out with friends. The servers were very attentive. I hope that they get more recognition because this restaurant is a gem.

Outstanding restaurant. The food and service were excellent. We had both the Omakase (12 piece) and 2 rolls. All were delicious. The tiramisu dessert, although out of place, was tasty.

Prices weren't bad for a restaurant of this quality. I wouldn't hesitate to go again.

AMAZING! One of the best dinners I have had in a long time.

      ORDERED the table side OMAKASE!!

The Salmon will melt in your mouth. Everything I had was amazing.

The staff were super helpful and explained everything really well. The inside is small but with a cool vibe.

Everything was top notch. HIGHLY RECOMMEND.

I have been to a few omakase spots in New Orleans and Kenji is BY FAR the best and totally worth it!

Each bite is crafted beautifully -- Chef Matt is so talented! I can't choose a favorite because they were all so good. You will be full by the end and maybe even wanting more! If you are skeptical about the price, check out their happy hour.

As someone who loves Japanese food, I can't recommend this spot enough. This is the perfect spot for date night or celebrating something special! I can't wait to go back.

The omakase here is probably the best I've had! The fish selection was amazing and tasted fresh. It was buttery and had phenomenal complimentary flavors. I had a whole party in my mouth. We sat at the bar and it was an intimate experience with the Chef Matt. We learned the region where the fish was and how it should taste. The service was great. They often checked up on us. Overall, it was a great time and will return soon.

Wow - absolutely wow. The omakase was incredible. They tell you upfront that each piece will be better than the last, and it seemed impossible at first, but it was truly the case. Some of the freshest fish and best flavor combos I've ever had. The service is great too. I hope to go back someday!

My friend and I came for happy hour to give the place a try after hearing that it was good but the omakase value was not worth the cost.

The happy hour food price points and food were nice but we left feeling upset and scammed.

Food: The hand rolls are nice. I enjoyed them here a little more than other places in the area but not enough to bother paying for parking in the CBD area again. The crispy rice bites were flavorful with nice texture- the whitefish and truffle combo was a personal favorite. All in all, nice fish quality. The Hokkaido scallop tempura was not at all for me... the texture post deep fry was too firm/flakey for my taste and wasn't enjoyable but my friend thought they were fine. It sounded good in theory but never will I ever want deep fried scallops.

Cause of major upset: The charge for water- a war crime. When arriving the server asked if I wanted still or sparkling water. I said still was fine, for the waiter to bring a large glass bottle and crack it open and pouring me a glass before I could say anything. This irked me because usually servers clarify if bottled or tap is fine. I didn't consent to being charged for water but I figured it was merely an annoyance. The only drinks I saw on the menu were alcoholic so both of us were unaware of what they would charge for water until we got through bill... they charged us $20 for a large bottle of still and sparkling water. That was not indicated anywhere and is outright absurd. Never have I been charged such an outlandish amount for water even at Michelin starred restaurants, in Europe, or even recently for poolside service at a Las Vegas resort. It was a major upset which made us leave feeling quite peeved. I expressed my frustration to the server who said he'd let the chef/manager know about my feelings but that was it. Note: this place charges credit card fees

Would I come back? No that was an egregious crime where one could easily drink the cost of water equivalent to a la carte ordering and be asked to be tipped on it. What we ate was nice enough but not for the pain of parking with the location or for the general attitude from staff. As a newer spot, the novelty is there but definitely left a poor taste in my mouth and I've honestly shared that sentiment to all the friends who look to me for candid assessment on quality food and ambiance.

I eat sushi a lot and I was a little skeptical about the sushi scene in NOLA, but this place is exceptional! They're a little heavy handed on the sauce, but it's perfect for someone like me who always ask for additional soy sauce. Fish is fresh and flavors are modern and bold. We got the 12 piece table omakase and two rolls. Everything was delicious. I haven't repeated any restaurants during my 2 week stay, but would definitely return to do their signature omakase at the bar if I can score a reservation before I leave.

Go for the omakase! It's in the name. Had an amazing dinner here, 12 courses, loved each one, wish I could have ordered more. But since it was a special occasion they weren't offering a la carte. Will have to go back to try everything again.

Also, very cool vibe with pictures along the wall of famous inspirational people. It feels like a cool modern trendy space and it's a great place for a group or date night. The service was really good too, attentive and helpful. And all the servers wore black leggings and black tops so again, it adds to the overall atmosphere of the place. Admittedly a little on the pricier end but absolutely worth the visit

Just wow! This was an incredible experience! The ambiance was very intimate, perfect for a date night after a stressful week. We stayed at a nearby hotel and the restaurant was easy to find/within walking distance. Be prepared to get all the upgrades because it is so worth it. It is pricey but hands down the best omakase I've had. Every bite was better than the last and the sushi chefs made sure we were well taken care of the entire time.
