Will it be OK to bring kids with us? If yes, how long does it usually take to eat? We'are looking for a place to eat before going on a walking tour and will have limited time. Thank you very much!

      A:

Kids should go here without preconceived notions. There aren't any fountain drinks; however, the bottled drinks they serve are amazingly flavorful! Substitutions can be made; however, omissions should be asked to be on the side (this ensures someone… more

      Got the Cauliflower PoBoy.

I was a little uncertain about ordering the Cauliflower (felt guilty not going the traditional route) but it was the best decision. Full of flavor and the spread on the PoBoy was on point yum!

Service was great. Good place to grab a quick bite. I regretfully didn't take a photo.

      * A lot of locals recommended this place to myself and my friends, so it's pretty popular
      * The Poboys are interesting with a Vietnamese influence. Overall, didn't compare to bahn mis or Vietnamese food coming from the Bay Area so I was a bit disappointed. I had wish I tried the sweet potato option instead of the tofu! My friend tried the shrimp one and the consensus was the same.
      * Service was fairly quick and it's on a busy street which is fun considering you don't have to go too far to explore

      * I'm glad I tried the restaurant but likely wouldn't crave or come back unfortunately.

Terrible service. They got our entire order wrong. I know it was late and hectic, but for that location it should be pretty normal. The order was 33 percent correct, we got 3 sandwiches and only one was what we ordered. The total of the sandwiches we actually got was about 12 dollars less than what we paid.

I will not be back to this location.

In New Orleans for a few days, and Killer Poboys was high on my list of places to visit. This location is slightly hidden in the back of Erin Rose. But honestly it's a pro move to grab a great sandwich and frozen Irish coffee at the same time. We tried the Black Beer Beef Debris Poboy and the Seared Gulf Shrimp Poboy.

Beef: 6/10 honestly not a huge fan of this one. The bread is great but the beef doesn't have a good meaty flavor. The toppings were not our favorite either.
Shrimp: 10:10 this poboy is definitely comparable to a bahn mi, but that doesn't take away from the fact that this is a wonderful sandwich. The shrimp are juicy and flavorful with hints of lime, the toppings are fresh and compliment the sandwich nicely, and the sauce is delicious.

Overall, we would definitely visit Killer Poboys again, especially for the shrimp poboy.

      Updated review

I Love this place. Vibe, atmosphere, effort all top notch. My bad for not noticing upgraded (changed) menu for shrimp po boys. Recipe for last 2 years is blackened/sautéed not fried, with pickled slaw garnish. A bit wet for my taste but tomorrow trying other po-boys to compare. Still the coolest vibe going.

Perfect spot for a quick lunch. I got the seared shrimp poboy and it was hot and fresh and had a layer of a house slaw under the shrimp with amazing flavors. Service was friendly and fast too which was great for us. There is some seating inside but I imagine the do mostly takeout so if you are planning to dine in, have a plan in case the seats are taken!

When in New Orleans, you must try a Poboy. At least that's what I'm told. I happened to be at the Erin Rose indulging in some libations and noticed that Killer Poboys was open for lunch in the back. I tried out the shrimp poboy and was impressed. Not overwhelmed, but it was definitely a solid lunch to go with some packaged cajun chips.

I'd go back, but mostly because that's where I'd like to do my drinking anyway. Perfectly fine sandwich on a really good bread. Solid service. Nothing to write home about with the location or ambiance, but solid overall.

I was visiting NOLA for the first time and wanted to have the famous poboy everyone raves about. I saw that this place had good reviews and stopped in to try it. I got a seared shrimp poboy. Sandwich was small and hardly had and shrimp on it. It felt more like an Asian fusion than Cajun, which isn't inherently bad but wasn't what I was expecting. This place felt like a tourist trap through and through, I'd recommend going outside the of downtown to get something more authentic.
