Live Fit Gym - Castro

2nd class was with Erin. She kicked my butt. Great floor run group class. That's how they do at the CASTRO!
3rd class was a LIFT class in the smaller room. LOVED IT! Let's go! I like this smaller room and I love the Lifting energy!!!! But you definitely need a run class too.
Now is if I join as a member or buy class packs? It's pretty pricey but I like it. DECISION to make.

First off customer service and greeting was terrible.
I was given a tour thinking my one day pass would be a great experience but I was wrong.
First off the temperature was warm they will get that fixed.
Felt EXHAUSTED during my workout and on top of that the gentleman with glasses said that the filter was changed showing a red blinking light. I tasted the water and it was CLEARLY NOT CLEAN!!! So nothing to do but drink it!...
The towels smelled DISGUSTING and had a yellow stain! It smelled like ROTTEN CHEESE.
When I left he told me
"THAT WAS A PRETTY LONG WORKOUT" Keep in mind I told him in the beginning that I was trying to get back to my routine as I was struggling with health mentally and physically.
THANK GOD I JUST GOT A ONE DAY PASS.
No idea why this place almost 5 stars rating.
NEVER COMING HERE EVER AGAIN!

I've been going to Live Fit for a little over six months. After over a decade of rotating among different area gyms, I can attest that this facility is among the cleanest and nicest in the city, certainly the best option in the neighborhood. The equipment is all new, well spaced and always in good operating order. I'd love to see them expand even further to make more active use of the cavernous two-level space.

The key difference though is the staff. From the first moment I stepped inside last year, everyone has always been beyond welcoming. I've also had a fair share of trainers at different facilities over the years and Louie at Live Fit is absolute tops. He has a deep knowledge of kinesiology and recovery, is always super attentive and a great motivator. Highly recommend him if you're looking to push yourself in new directions or to switch up your routine with training sessions.

Run, don't walk to Anthony Cabrera's class Fridays at 12! He's one of my favorite Barry's instructors and his class is super challenging yet doable. As a trainer myself I appreciate his clear direction and loud speaking voice. Great full body workout!

I wanted to give an update to my review since several months have passed by, Manager Brianna has been very good at checking in with me as well as introducing herself in person after several communications over email.
Also I wanted to recommend Eshan as a trainer! He's great and his classes are fun and will make you want to come back. Gym is very nice and they have complimentary Parking. They are very good at keeping up with the cleaning and Maintance of the the gym. I recommend :)

I've been to this gym for more than a year now, everything is great considering the price point.
The staff members are all pretty friendly and helpful.
Cleanness and convenience and the most important things to me, and they excel both.
Fresh towel, clean equipment, convenient location and free parking in the garage! The in-house acupuncture and chiropractic service is also very convenient for my busy days.
I'd recommend it to any folk who's trying to establish a healthy life.

It's incredibly convenient to address any discomfort or tension right on-site, enhancing my overall well-being.

One of the standout features of Live Fitness Gym, particularly the Fairmount hotel location, is the inclusion of dry and steam saunas. As a member, I've thoroughly enjoyed the benefits of these amenities. While the steam sauna may have occasional hiccups, the dry sauna is consistently pristine, quiet, and rejuvenating.

We joined in May and couldn't be happier after trying a few other SF gyms! Our absolute favorite class is Precious's Pilates floor class-amazing music (!), challenging on the body, and she's just so fun! She made us feel so welcome from the start-we try to never miss our Tuesday nights now! Only wish there was at least one more of her classes during the week!

Also-want to shout out to the super welcoming and kind staff -including Zemaye and Bailey who always greet us with smiles and made us feel welcome from day one! Even when it's super early in the AM!

The place is always so clean and equipment is updated and in great quality! We go often in the early am or evenings and can always get the machines or weights we want! Feel so lucky to have a neighborhood gym that's so great!

It was also so easy to sign up on line the night before we started, definitely recommend. They have trainers and other perks like massage and acupuncture-but they don't hound you to use those services if they aren't what you need.

Kate is seriously amazing!! She makes High Fit such a fun and accepting experience. Cannot recommend her enough!

The amazing front desk staff and the myriad of eye candy to motivate your workout. The cleanliness of the establishment added to its likability and the abundant supply of towels on hand was always a nice perk.
