Chips and salsa are amazing. Staff is very welcoming, the people that go there are great company.

I love this restaurant! It had been 30 years since I have eaten there and it was amazing then and delicious now.
I love the decor, there was a great selection of food to choose from and the margaritas were amazing.
We sat in the bar area and there was a singer/guitarist playing. We really enjoyed his music. It was a great experience.
I had the Mexico City combination and a cucumber Rita margarita. I highly recommend both.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - 26143276May 31, 2024Updated review
My husband and I stopped by Carlos and Mickey for a casual dinner and decided to try their frozen margaritas. They were definitely good, refreshing drinks that hit the spot. I opted for the tacos al pastor, which were tasty and satisfying, though I must admit they weren't the best I've had in El Paso.
Unfortunately, my husband's carnitas were burnt, dry, and clearly overcooked, leaving much to be desired in terms of flavor and texture. It was a letdown compared to the rest of our meal.Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0Feb 26, 2013Previous reviewAmazing staff, we started with some queso fundido with chorizo and it was great but nothing special. I tried the chicken chimichanga and they were ok...

Went to a dinner party at CnM on Saturday night evening. It was a large party and we had a small room to ourselves. There were two servers attending us but they didn't miss a beat. I had a Texas margarita which I downed in like 20 minutes. It was good but coulda had less ice. I ordered the shrimp rellenos. Everyone got their food within 15 minutes-20 minutes my plate was steaming and looked delish. Those rellenos look fat. Green chile was a lil spicy which complete the shrimp. It was a good choice and I ate it all. rice and beans were good too. Great meal great atmosphere. Love this place.

6.29.24 Flavor Fiesta! Los Bandidos De Carlos & Mickey's in El Paso, Texas, is a true gem for Mexican cuisine. Walk in and get welcomed by the staff and the cozy charm. The walls adorned with sombreros and colorful papel picado create an inviting atmosphere. It's like stepping into a vibrant cantina where time slows down, and laughter fills the air. I had Tacos Al Pastor: The marinated pork tacos are a burst of flavor--tender meat, pineapple, and fragrant spices. A fiesta in every bite! My daughter had the Chicken Quesadillas that were oozing cheese, grilled chicken, and warm tortillas. Comfort food with a twist. My husband had the Tacos Al Carbon grilled steak, onions, and cilantro. It was robust and satisfying. You will get generous portions where each entree leaves you happily full, like a post-fiesta siesta.

Los Bandidos De Carlos & Mickeys came highly recommended by my husband who used to frequent it a lot due to living down the street from the restaurant! I had high expectations going in, hoping for some authentic Mexican cuisine in El Paso.
We arrived on a weekday for dinner and surprisingly the parking lot was full! We ended up finding a spot in back, thankfully. That was a good sign to me that they were busy, meant their food must be good! Even though the parking was full we were seated right away. I love the vibe of the restaurant. They even had a live mariachi band somewhere inside, I couldn't see them but I could hear them. Really gave that authentic experience.
I'm a huge sucker for some good Queso fundido. I had seen it on their menu prior to arriving and already knew that's what I was going to order. As for my husband, he's a fan of their cheese enchiladas so that's what he got. We also ordered some drinks, my husband had a beer and I got their strawberry margarita. It was huge! And delicious. Exactly what I'd expect for a margarita. As for the queso fundido, it was pretty good! Not exactly the melted cheese I'm used to from my favorite spots out here in SoCal but it wasn't bad either. I wish they had the fresh flour tortillas like I get at the restaurants out here but I think they just make their tortillas with a different type of flour. Nothing too big. Everything was still delicious and satisfying.
I'd definitely be back to try more of their menu items!Helpful 22Thanks 2Love this 22Oh no 0 - Oct 25, 2023
You can't NOT go to Carlos and Mickeys if you're ever in El Paso!
I know that some people think it's just overrated but I absolutely adore this place! Excellent Mexican food options, especially their seafood or fish soup! And let's not get started on their amazing margaritas at the best prices!
The place is always fun with music and this location is bigger that could fit huge parties with reservations as well.
Love coming here for a quick bite or a fun night!Helpful 4Thanks 2Love this 4Oh no 0 - Madison C.Trinidad, CO01Aug 11, 2024
Tourist trap. Came in at 7:45pm on Saturday. Only waited about 15 minutes for a table, which isn't bad. They had live music which was nice, but food was average at best. Waiter seemed bothered by his job. Cocktails had little to no liquor in them. When food was brought to the table, it was room temperature, not warm. Hubby ordered a steak and the waiter never even asked how he'd like it cooked. When my husband told him he would like medium rare, he said they usually come medium well, but could see if the cook can do it. It wasn't just us either, the table next to us were not happy either, as they requested to speak to the manager about food and service.

We were recommended to try this local Tex mex establishment while in town. Most likely due to the graduation season, the place was pretty full, but we were seated quickly. I ordered their chicken tortilla soup and my husband ordered their combo fajita. The food offered full of flavor and the free tostada and salsa was impressively flavorful and addictive. The server was attentive and came back several times to check on us and price was good for the amount of food we had. We will definitely be back when in town.
