Good ordering is walk up. Simple menu options. Pay & get your number to put on your table.
Water, coffee, & tea is self serve. Just keep making your way down the counter and grab your drink before finding a table.
I ordered a shrimp & sausage omelette and coffee. Came out hot and fresh within about 10 minutes. Good selection of coffees. Saw several types of groups. Single patrons. Couples. Families with kids.
Music playing overhead but not too loud.
Good ambiance. Clean. Always had someone wiping down tables and picking up anything and everything on the tables and floor.
I'd recommend this place for anyone.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 1Business owner information

The extended family and I needed a place to have breakfast and the place we were headed to was way too busy, so I searched for something else and found Luzianne Cafe. It has a very casual ambiance and a large seating area. The food was good, typical breakfast fare (they were out of some things) and the coffee was even better. They also have a really good Bloody Mary.
It is pretty full of tourists and seems geared toward them, which I should have guessed based on the proximity to the convention center and the Riverwalk.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0Business owner information

I went for a late lunch and there were only a few other people in the restaurant. I wanted a shrimp Po' Boy and this was close to the hotel.
You order at the counter and they bring it to you. The service was friendly and efficient. I was hungry as I hadn't eaten yet and the friend shrimp in the baguette looked sooo good. I put a bit of hot sauce on the shrimp and dove in. It was good though the bread was a bit dry on the ends. I ended up using a knife and fork to eat this sandwich because it was so big. In the end I couldn't even finish all the shrimp but I left with a happy tummy and ready to spend the day walking around this great city!
It's definitely a good spot to hit for a casual meal.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0Business owner information

Nola proved to be an amazing experience for my daughter and me as the last leg of our Spring Break Southern Food Tour. After experiencing one fabulous meal after the next, on our last day, it was highly recommended we visit a particular establishment. But after finding out there was an hour wait, we decided against it. Not to worry, my restaurant sleuthing skills never failed me and I quickly found Luzianne Cafe. We needed one last fabulous meal in this fabulous town before we began our drive back to Chicago.
And it did not disappoint. We pulled up and there was a decent line at this down-home, warm and inviting eatery. Diners ordered and paid at the counter and found their own seating. This was perfect as we really wanted to just eat something extraordinary and hit the road, without all the extra fanfare. We both ordered the chicken and waffles, a side of scrambled eggs with cheese, and coffee for there and to go. Of course we cleaned our plates... we were in N'awlins, after all.
Even though there were no waiters, per se, the staff on hand made sure we had everything we needed to make this experience an exceptional one.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0Business owner information

Very friendly folks and cool decor. The spicy mayo is great. We just had a snack and drinks but the food looks great.

Love the decor/look & feel. The sausage was strange & greasy. Eggs were a little weird too texture wise. Like food service vendor grade. The creole grits were really good. I would go back for the grits. They were really good.

Location is easy to get to, service is quick Ambiance was nice.. and all the staff we encountered were engaged and nice excluding the barista he was unnecessary rude. The place was pretty empty when we arrived. The food was good., i had 0 complaints.

This place was so good after eating cruise food for 5 days. The inside is homey and spacious and we got our food pretty fast but it was a Thursday morning. I got the morning joy breakfast sandwich. I don't eat meat so I subbed for extra egg and it was so filling. The biscuit was fresh and buttery. I could barely finish my meal, I almost regret ordering hash browns in case I wasn't full. LOL. But those were crispy and fresh, I had to chow down. The employees were sweet and helpful picking things off the menu.
