It's been a while since I've eaten at Marnee Thai in person as we always get take out, but we had guests visiting. We were able to get a table for 4 fairly quickly without any reservation. We ordered our favorite angel wings and pad Thai but this time tried the coconut noodles which was surprising and tasty, and a pork belly special to go with the white rice. I usually love their green chicken curry, but didn't order it on this visit.

As always, everything was fresh and delicious, and dining in meant the angel wings were perfectly hot and crispy. Spice levels were mild and manageable but you can request to level this up if you want. Wish I had room for their mango sticky rice, but there's always next time.

Inner Sunset's go-to Thai spot, Marnee Thai delivers authentic Thai food for decades since my boss Tim raved about her.

With nice Thai wall art, this space's interior is more worn than the one on Irving Street, but more lively with a young crowd. The service is cordial and efficient.

We had Tom Yum Soup with plump juicy shrimp, Duck curry, Papaya salad, Chicken satay, rice, and Thai iced tea. Depending how well you can take spice, it's best to let them know if you can't. Watch out for the little red peppers, because biting into one of them will numb your mouth and tongue!

Authentic tasty food! Everything that we ordered came out perfectly! We ordered about 5 items for a party of 4 and the portions were just right. Everyone was full and we also still had take home. The Thai iced tea was the perfect creamy and tasty blend. The service was as expected for a very busy place. We didn't mind the little wait we did. The place is small but there were more seating in the back for larger parties.

      **reviewed special dishes**

This is a cozy and delicious Thai restaurant. We went for the recommended special items rather than picking reliable Thai fare. However based on how yummy the specials were I'm sure the tried and trues are just as delicious.

We ordered the corn cakes, veggies with tofu (the name evades me but is similar to celery stalks with spinach tops), and a fish dish!

Marnee Thai remains my favorite go to Thai restaurant in SF. I always recommend it to friends and colleagues. Their dishes are consistently delicious. We love the angel wings or tofu, pad kee mao, corn fritters (coconut milk with the corn is absolutely delicious).

      3.5 out of 5
I got the hotcakes special, green banana curry, and coconut stir fry vermicelli noddles, all of these were off the daily specials menu that day. The best thing was the hotcakes, this is a thai street food classic. The topped the soft and slightly chewy bite with corn, ham, green onion, and a bit of pumpkin with a drizzle of coconut syrup on top. It's a nice savory sweet combo. I've had these hotcakes in Thailand and this was comparable, but the abundance of toppings can feel a bit conflicting instead of choosing 2-3 toppings you want that go together better. The rest of the food was a disappointment to be honest, I love trying new food so when I saw coconut stir fry and banana curry I decided to try it out. Overall the food was good and yummy, but nothing spectacular and not quite what was advertised. The curry was basically a green thai curry with a banana in it ( granted still yummy and a nice flavor profile to add to the savory dish) and the noodles tasted simply like pad thai but with vermicelli, no coconut to be tasted. The food was good, but not what was expected when ordered. I would return, but it would not be a first choice and if I did return, I would 100% order something different besides the hotcakes.

I attended an evening event at the California Academy of Sciences & originally wanted to come here in the evening, but they close at 8:30 and we were not allowed to leave and come back. My friend suggested having delivery to the museum. I asked the museum staff that was possible and they said it could be delivered to the door. I ordered via Uber eats with specific instructions for the delivery person and it worked out. I got two of my favorites which are shrimp, pad, Thai and angel wings. I really wanted the coconut, sticky rice with mango for dessert, but it wasn't available for delivery.

Our food was piping hot when we received it. This restaurant location is very close to Golden Gate Park, which helped. The Pad Thai was as delicious as I remember. The angel wings were nice and crispy in a spiced honey glaze. The angel wings are available to order as mild, medium or hot, and I chose mild because I have a dainty palette.

I'm looking forward to my next in person dining experience at this location.

The most delicious Thai food in San Francisco! I go here at least once a month and either get the pad see ew or pad thai (basic I know, but so good). This time I also got the mango sticky rice and it was better than I had in Thailand.
Staff here is super nice, welcoming and knowledgeable about the food.

The three of us came here for lunch. We went to the De Young Museum to view an exhibit so it was so convenient to walk over here for lunch rather than driving over.

The staff was very accommodating filling my water glass very often.

We ordered 3 dishes, the Thai tea leaf salad, a pad Thai and banana curry in a yellow sauce.

I love tea leaf salad and theirs was pretty potent. I mean it could have used some more salad greens. We enjoyed the pad Thai and curry as well. I could eat curry everyday.
